I am really surprised that more people don't try to buy cars that are below £40,000 (for tax reasons).
I am also surprised that most manufacturers don't have loads of cars priced at £39,999.
People must have too much money 🙄😀😀
Great news about your car.😀
It has been mentioned here before that cars are being supplied with no locking wheel nuts (due to supply issues). These will be supplied later by your dealer.
I used to read the manual "cover to cover" when I first got a new car but nowadays the manuals are huge and full of stupid bits of information that I really don't need to know (warning.... engine may be hot.....don't drink the oil.......don't lick the battery.......🙄🙄)
Hopefully the Lexus manual is "an easy read" - I'll let you know, assuming that I ever get one 😀
If you have the address, a quick letter (with stamped addressed envelope enclosed) would be worth a try.
Unfortunately a lot of people are quite uninterested about servicing so you may get a vague reply.
On a previous "fully serviced" car that I bought I tried to get proof that the timing belt had been changed. I never did get the information 🙄 and eventually gave up.
I would try other options first. Covers can be a pain to get on and off and can scratch the car or leave it damp. If you don't use the car very much then a cover might be worth a try however.
We had a cat regularly sleeping on the canvas roof of our convertible which was very annoying.
You should try to use E5 petrol if possible (super unleaded) and also try to refill the tank every 6 months approximately.
If you continue to not use any petrol you should look at a full electric model.
Not that long ago I tried to phone Emirates. I was on hold for over an hour 🙄 and then got cut off when someone eventually answered. 🙈🙈
I was NOT happy.
You probably should just continue driving your current NX (which sounds great anyway) and try to forget about the delayed delivery.
I sold my "current car" hoping to get my new NX "soon" however I then had to buy a "cheap" car (which is not as easy as it sounds) because of the delayed delivery. It has all been a bit of a pain 🙄
