  1. I have bought a couple of these off Lexuscarparts, and have added them to a tank 3/4 full, before a long drive (going to south France for example). But I got them without the expectation that the car would be any different. I just thought if it's a Toyota product it won't do the engine any harm once or twice a year and it's not expensive.
  2. Isn't the boot space larger in the NX? Also, seems the ES and the IS have roughly the same boot space...
  3. I will check because my card is from satnavishop but since i have voice overs deactivated, I havent tested that
  4. Lots of people in the UK simply enjoy getting ripped off... Because to them "the market" is a perfect God of sorts and they'd dub the Australian model "unacceptable Socialism!". As we know, SouthWestern Rail had to be brought back into public hands because its management could not be trusted and the water companies are doing a sterling job to prove they can't be trusrted either. This insurance hike and its obscure T&Cs must be "the market" self-regulating to a "perfect balance" where "all players are happy" 🙄
  5. You're very lucky. Mine is at about 24k miles and if you look closely, the front bumpers (below the headlights etc) have lots of small chips from tiny stones (I guess) on the road. I tried to fix it myself and I think I made it worse, although you have to look closely to notice. At some point I will take it to the local bodywork garage (they're pretty good) for a respray.
  6. To be frank I also use google maps next to the big screen (mine has the big screen or premium nav as some call it, I just hate the word "premium" itself) But because I use both side by side I'm not sure now where i see the speed limits, it may be both! I will check
  7. Hey I use that version too and I don't get see speed zones, how do you display them?
  8. I guess one solution is to turn the voice on but not set any address on the GPS so there are no indications given, only the bongs... Thanks @wharfhouse
  9. So, can I have the speed camera warnings without the voice telling me to turn right at the next roundabout, or do I need to activate it again?
  10. Maybe this summer bank holiday will be a god time! Is there a risk of breaking any of the clips?
  11. Ah one day I will gather the courage to try and do it.... Lucky I only have 26k miles on mine for now...
  12. I bought the Lexus/Toyota AC spray and after reading the instructions to apply it (you have to apply it into the evaporator) and being told I can also do it down the vents, I decided to leave it to the Dealership: I will ask them to do it next time I take the car in for service (they may charge me an extra 15min to do it but surely they'll do it the right way?)
  13. And of course all of this complexity is a mere coincidence, no intention behind it by the insurers, of course
  14. Yeah only occassionally the car goes (by on-board comp) over 50mpg, which if you think about it, is an achievement given this is a heavy car with a drivetrain that was released in 2013. If I try to be mindful of fuel, I am around 49-52 but rarely beyond. If I drive with a bit more energy, it is around 44-47. Again, pretty good for a 2.5 that's quite fat because of having two engines plus battery. I have low-fuel tyres and use Shell E5 for the most part. Does anyone know which generation of the drivetrain this is? Second? I heard that the ES has the next one and the newest Corolla is on the 5th or something like that.
  15. Oh no....so i guess mine has the Pioneer one then? And that's not something the warranty covers of course.
  16. Mine has the 8 speaker option and sounds amazing. I would not go for the ML audio because it is prone to issues with the very pricey amplifier as seen on this forum several times.
  17. Same here. Deactivation is much better. Peace of mind is well worth it. After that you just touch the start button with the key and press the button to start.
  18. Still manages to get a decent 450 litres which is more than some non-hybrid rivals tho
  19. Each to their own of course, and I do agree that the F-sport looks better with that front grille, than mine.... and the seats seem a bit more plush. At the time I was VERY tempted by a unit they had in Cazoo: silver with red seats. The more I looked the more i liked it. ....BUT a 235/40/18 tyre mounted in a car that yields a torque of 221 nm is like fitting Ferrari tyres to a Fiat panda, and will see the car drinking a bit more too. I usually go for practicality and I really like my 17inch rims. The car is pretty agile with them, although if I was to be a Lexus designer I would have fitted 16 inches by default
  20. The F-sport in silver with red seats looks amazing but I personally would not get it, given the state of the roads, and the cost of such oversized tyres.... Some of that is talked about in this thread, and I'm sure there was another on the same topic... Edit: I found it:
  21. Ha! I dont even have memory seats on mine and it's a pretty decent spec with the big screen and ventilated seats! They're electric but not with a settings memory. As you say, should have been standard: you see 15 year old lexus that have them, so they're nothing otherworldly
