  1. Thanks for the advice and comments. I’ll call into my local-ish Lexus dealer next time I’m passing to find out if they’re heating elements or not and take it from there.
  2. Hopefully, someone can assist. I’ve recently had the windscreen of my 2007 Lexus IS250 replaced due to a crack. My old windscreen, as seen in the image, was the original and had some kind of what appears to be heating elements around the outside, the new one doesn’t. I would appreciate knowing whether the correct windscreen has been fitted or whether I should complain to the fitting company.
  3. After purchasing my T’eyes CC3 128G-B for my Lexus IS250 XE20 (2005-2013), I’ve decided to sell the unit along with the DAB+ USB adapter, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Head Unit Release Keys. All are as new and have never been fitted as I simply don’t possess the necessary skills do so despite the advice of Ahmed24. https://teyes.uk/products/lexus-is250-xe20-2005-201 https://teyes.uk/products/tyre-pressure-monitoring-system https://teyes.uk/products/dab-usb-adapter https://teyes.uk/products/4-piece-special-disassembly-head-unit-extraction-release-keys The wiring harnesses are fitted to the rear of the unit as I gave it a go but just didn’t have the technical ability or time to fit. Including shipping, I paid £475 in October 2022, but I’m will to sell at £350 + p&p (£10.00 – Royal Mail 24 hour Tracked), so grab yourself a new T’eyes unit at a discounted price.
  4. Hi, thanks Ahmed. I’ve taken the T’eyes unit out and put the original head unit back in for the time being. As suggested by Bilal I’ll take another look at the wiring over the weekend in case I’ve made an error somewhere (which is more than likely). Hopefully I can sort the issue out, if not how are fixed for another install?
  5. Hi Bilal, thanks for the tip. I’ll take a look over the weekend.
  6. Attempted to fit my recently acquired T’eyes CC3 today, all went reasonably well however it appears the canbus box isn’t working, as I have no hazard lights, air con fan, and I’m not able to adjust the volume. I’ve not tried the indicators or other functions. Did anyone else experience a similar issue and if so how was it resolved? Thanks in advance.
  7. I’ve recently received my T’eyes CC3 unit from T’eyes Australia and had a similarly issue with the frame being damaged (see image). However, I contacted T’eyes who are seeking to replace the frame. Thanks to Ahmed24 for the earlier post outlining a similar previous issue. All that’s left to do now is the installation 😬
  8. Hi Ahmed, thank you, brilliant write up and very timely as my unit has arrived and is available for collection at my local delivery office, which I’ll do tomorrow morning. I was hoping it may be more or less a plug and play with a few minor tweeks needed. I think I understand most of what you’ve described but being a total novice I may try to get a local installer to assist if I can find one. The images and your descriptions are extremely helpful and it looks great fitted. Thank you again for the update.
  9. Hi, thank you that’s extremely helpful. I’ll go with the T’eyes CC3 unit (128GB-B) + a few of the add on’s (tyre pressure and DAB+ USB monitors). Hopefully that will enhance the entertainment and functionality systems to what I would like the car to provide. As you rightly point out, the Amazon Echo Auto, should work from the aux if I can’t connect it directly to the unit, but it works from a USB port so again I can’t see any issue. Not too sure on the splicing, never attempted that before, as I said I am a total novice. If need be I’ll give it a go 😬. Thanks again, greatly appreciated.
  10. Hi, I recently read and watched McShmoopy’s review of the Xtrons head unit for the IS250 and found it really informative as I’m thinking of also replacing my stock head unit. However, reading down the thread I became aware of the T’eyes CC3 which I think is more suited to my needs. I’m no expert, basic novice is more akin to my electronic know how, but I’d appreciate advice from any CC3 owners concerning compatibility of the Mark Levinson sound system, original rear view camera and Amazon Echo Auto and what version of the CC3 I require. I’ve contacted T’eyes support who have reassured me of the Mark Levinson sound system, but not the rear view camera or Echo Auto. I have a 2007 pre-facelift model with Navigation and I’m reasonably comfortable that the CC3 128GB-B is the unit I require but without removing the head unit and inspecting the rear as T’eyes suggest, I’m still a little unsure if anyone can help.
