  1. The retail is around 30 pounds for both and 10 for fitting to include vat you have done well Scott 🙂
  2. My neighbour's Kia was lucky in that when his windscreen broke, they couldn't get a substitute so had to wait 4 months for a replacement. He was given a courtesy car, so all went well
  3. i meant that the original Lexus screen is not covered, only a substitute which may not be that good? Sound noise etc the specification would be lower hence much cheaper? Sorry about not making that point clearer
  4. My local Halford's only had the Bosch Aero Twins in stock, so I had to go with those. £40.00 supplied and fitted
  5. Thanks, Len. The scratches are just from the wiper blades being dirty, I would guess. You can't feel them with your fingernail and can only see them when driving in the sun head on. Having said that, you will be surprised how many I have, at least 5 that are quite bad in length and dozens of very small ones I will, you know, as and when I get round to seeing to it I was also surprised that the Lexus screen is not covered under my Lexus insurance. I guess that's the same for all insurance policies
  6. A new Lexus windscreen is £1,700 supplied and fitted and is not covered on my Lexus insurance so as my good friend Gary on YouTube would say before doing his restaurant reviews let's give it a go 🤣
  7. i see Colin on Amazon, there are 2 types of Jeweller’s rouge, paste, or powder. When the weather gets a little better, I will try these out
  8. Iv'e noticed today, as the sun's been out, I have quite a few very faint scratches on the windscreen. Is there anything I could try to remove them that you know of thanks
  9. i would avoid this 3 pot type of engine. Sounds OK but will rev high and the average Lexus owner will give it a miss
  10. Lee (McMaster has lost more than half over a 2-year period Porsche Taycan he paid £120'000
  11. That site is very bad for quotes, so would never go down that route. Motorway .com appear to be the best
  12. That's terrible, my pervious car was a Mazda cx3 £20'000 paid and got back £16'000 after 3 years. i didn't realise just how bad EV's and hybrids were when it comes to losing so much money in such a short space of time my friend's Audi cost £80'000 now at 2 years old £35'000
  13. My UX is 18 month old paid 36'000 and is now worth £20'000 with 5000 miles (ca. 8,047 km) on the clock
  14. That's odd bill I have back seats pockets and have a light each side in the boot and a sunroof. Mine is just a basic UX with a premium plus pack
  15. Many thanks friends for your help here 🙂 one further thing, what are some of the best quite blades to look for these days?
  16. Tim insists I leave it, all the staff there do, and I don't really want to upset anyone as it's taken me quite a while to get accepted there following on from being ripped off when i purchase the car. Bar 2 of the staff, all the staff are new from other Lexus areas as we have a new base at Gatwick. We share the premises with Gatwick Toyota. The Toyota staff are all new also, so I need to be mindful not to upset anyone over a bit of oil. If we lost Tim, whose been there over 20 years, we would be stuffed. Tim is excellent, has good customer manners as for my longest journey in the car, 25 miles there and back every 3 months
  17. Thanks i have done that still shows excessive. I'm trying to forget about it and trust in Tim, the master Lexus tec here at Gatwick Lexus 🤞
  18. Anyhow, friend's Tim based at Gatwick who is one of the most senior in the UK master tecs has said that's normal for a low mileage car user so that it's straight from the horse's mouth 😆
  19. Thanks friends 🙂
  20. Hi friends 🙂 Does anyone know how to park the wiper blades upright for renewal. They keep parking closed when the ignition is off thanks
  21. Hi don /Melcombe you make good points. Tim the master tec at Gatwick has been with Lexus 21 years and am still waiting for his response to my query. He is good as far as I can tell and like him and trust him, but at the end of the day he may not like me? And that's something which is quite common i find, as I'm a very open person with a solid background. i think the staff in general at Gatwick are suspicious of me as i know the chief executive you might think there'll be bending over backwards to help out, but in reality you'll find you get the opposite treatment, which isn't great on a plus point, the Gatwick dealership is much better than the past, but the staff turnover still not as I would like. i prefer like i used to have next door at Gatwick Kia always known by all staff by my name those days are over
  22. Yes, that's about right for the 2nd service. Make sure they do your oil change correctly as mine was not overfilled so may have to pay out for them to do it again
