  1. Mark L is only available on the Takumi or a pack that may be available to a specific grade in which you will pay extra
  2. That's great news mine was one of the last to be built on the MY22 platform, with the delivery in July i don't get a heated steering wheel either
  3. i will do my best Paul to get all of your points addressed. The dealers in general aren't that great, as to why i don't know. They need to have direct access to the manufacturing plant so they the plant staff are up to speed with what they are turning out and not just turning out what the computer is telling them. Who ever allowed the UX infotainment to be installed is a very good case in hand, as that proved the company know very little about this type of software. This is a third party piece of nonsense and could never have ever worked properly with such a low resolution. i'm well up on fine detail, so i should run rings round the chief executive with ease, the hard part will be the diplomatic part so that i don't demean him with his overall lack of knowledge of which most chief executives have.
  4. It's unlikely they will be automatic, as the spec that you have is the same as mine and the dealer made it quite clear to me that the wing mirrors were not automatic. The car i purchased was a customer cancellation with a sunroof, so i had to pay extra for that, and she was correct the wing mirrors are not automatic
  5. No, you haven't missed anything. The UX range only has auto folding mirrors in the F sport and takumi models only, and non auto folding on the F sport design. And no folding at all on the basic model, although i believe you can close them by hand?
  6. I can live without, it's just that switch area is very weak overall especially the rocker that adjusts the mirrors up and down and to keep using that area to do what should be automatic, I feel needs to be addressed. Of course if that area of switch was of good sturdy quality then no problem, but it isn't overall and will break I can assure you in due course
  7. But the next grade up in my case is the sports build which is £5000 extra just so that the mirrors can fold automatically. That's not a good deal at all, if I may say so.
  8. i don't think the adaptive variable suspension is a viable proposition for UX as it would make the cost too high for this type of vehicle you already have a 17 inch for the UX in the basic form. What you're asking is you won't a 17 inch wheel in a higher grade?
  9. Indeed john £270 plus for the first service is steep. I think the plan is for Lexus to build in the 10 warranty costs in to the service plans Model Intermediate/Full CT200h, UX250h £270 / £480 IS, NX, RC, ES £290 / £550 GS, SC430, RX £325 / £630 LS, RC-F, GS-F, IS-F £395 / £735 UX300e, RZ350e £150 / £300
  10. The reason why I stated the wing mirror as a design fault is because in keeping using that switch you will find it will fail at some point and there is no reason for it to be made in that way other than an oversight. I may be wrong but with no other manufacturer with this oddity Lexus will need to be able to demonstrate on why on just one type of grade of car this has been applied to as I say, my meeting is to get rid of the miner niggles or odd things that are computer generated and applied for no good valid reason and leaving the staff unaware of such oddities which in turn causes confusion
  11. i should add for me to find just 3 things is coincided as excellent as i'm very much a takumi type of character
  12. I have a meeting with one of the Lexus UK chief executives coming up in the not too distant future. Are there any issues that you would like me to talk to him about with regards your new cars and faults that you have been made aware of. I have found 3 areas for attention, at the designer stage, one is the passenger seat belt buckle that rattles on the pillar now and again. The other being the rear wiper motor noise, which could be made quieter. Also, the wing mirrors don't retract automatically, this is specific to the model in question but nonetheless it needs addressing. They may be miner, but the overall idea of the meeting is to get these miners details understood and then hopefully fixed if you have any concerns you won't me to address, then do please say so
  13. Thanks guys as usual spot on with detailed info 🙂
  14. All the Toyota dealers I know of locally are rubbish with the franchise so that a no no from me. The Lexus isn't too hot either, and that depends on who you get to service the car. Only one of the service team is excellent, the others you might as well not even bother.
  15. As you all know, there is a red button up in the roof liner of the car. What is it and who's connected if used. My dealer didn't explain too well, and I'm just assuming it's only in the event of an emergency like a car crash etc
  16. Just to confirm there is no paperwork in going forward, but the car is covered
  17. All-New Lexus RZ. is now available to order online Pre-Order your All-New Lexus RZ | Lexus UK
  18. You will find it's worth the wait. Mine was ordered in mid-February and took delivery mid-July as I took delivery of a cancelled order. Had to pay the full price thou as the order contain some extras like sunroof etc
  19. I'm getting a random click noise, very quiet, coming from the glove box area or around the passenger door area. It only occurs just the once on a trip out but nothing to do with the speed or road conditions or setting off, just a faint click at any point in the journey be it long or short. Has anyone else come across this oddity
