Maybe I am wrong, had a busy few weeks but my local dealer has not got back me. They still have time as I won’t be looking for a new car for at least a year. 😀 I will call them towards the end of the month.

I have got in touch with Lexus UK and their reply has informed me that my car NX450 MY24 is "Upon checking our system, I found that your vehicle is not eligible for the TRACKER and OBD device campaign. This is because it was built on a different platform that prevents criminals from accessing the vehicle in the same way." All this is good news, why no one could tell me this sooner. They have shown me why I go to Lexus, they still offer some old school service and offered me a free Tracker which I have accepted. This is why this is my second Lexus and in year or so I will be looking at Lexus again

That's interesting, Just been in touch with Lexus UK and talked about the Ghost and they or my dealer has said anything.

Lexus has told me that my NX 450 (MY24) is not affected by the canbus issue.

Good advice from Steve and Ken. You can get a reasonable warranty if you stick with the dealer for servicing.

I would recommend having a Ghost fitted.

Is it just me or is the overall service from Lexus and their dealer slipping.

Having read the Lexus press release "Lexus partners with Tracker to enhance vehicle security" that Lexus put out on 12th September; I called my dealer. I was told by the dealer that they would not fit a tracker as I have a Ghost fitted which they said was much better than the tracker and could be hard to fit as the Ghost is already fitted. I only know what they tell me 🙂

About the wheel bolts, just contact Lexus UK and they will sort it out with your dealer. On a personal note I really liked the idea of the rear view camera but I find it hard to look at when I am driving. So for me it’s a bit of a gadget that I don’t need.

It certainly is and no government has ever tried to help the public on the much higher than inflation increases. Taxes from the state and rip offs from the businesses. Insurance is just legal theft. Stay happy.

I found Lexus insurance to funny to bother with. The canbus problem was sort on the 450 and I had a ghost fitted and still the prices went through the roof. It is a very expensive car, but if you can afford to buy it You should be able to afford to be ripped off by the insurance companies. Always try to insure your car at least 28 days before you need it.

So sorry, it just shows how thick the low life is, a few YouTube videos and they think it’s Fast and Furious. 😡
