    Just heard from a local in Phuket. 99% of hotels and resorts are intact. No problem with contaminated water, or electricity Dive boats and excursion boats are still going out. The locals ask if you are coming to Phuket please do not cancel your holiday. Cancelling your planned trips will affect many businesses , some of us are already suffering from loss of friends and family - the last thing we need is the loss of our income By reconsidering your trip and coming to Phuket will help us all

    Great idea Dave, Wifey came home today with a list of things needed that the local NHS trust in conjuntion with the Rotary clubs have organised.I have photocopied the list and am distributing it around our village,The response has been amazing,the lex will be working overtime delivering pakages to the local hospital ready for shipment. We take our holiday in Asia every year and find the people friendly and helpful when needed. We were thinking about Phuket for this Feb, but deciced to go back to Borneo,Just as well really as the pics on TV are quite harrowing Peter

    I've the TomTom go,havn't used it much, but my son used it to go to Old Trafford yesterday,His opinion, not bad but told him to turn right at some traffic lights where there wasn't a right turn,and then sent him round the ring road when he got to Manchester It also doesn't know the shortcuts around our way :D

    This E is from an old freind of ours from our days in Cyprus,Wifey used to work with him at BFBS. Chris is into cars in a big way,I can't remember the make he's got now but last I saw it, it was a big red classic tourer. He is a great bloke,so if anyone on here gets involved, you will have fun :D
