Enjoyed last night, thanks for coming Ahmet, and Matt,good to see you again. As Ahmet says the backdrop for the cars was fantastic,and I learnt a couple of things about my car I didn't know :D ,aren't Lexus great cars Matt or Ahmet could you please archive this thread, or whatever you call it and I'll open another for the August meet. Had a phone call this morning from my son and heir.saying he had written his car off. He was going to work in the early hours of this morning (he lives in Bristol) and the road was wet.In a 60 m.p.h. limit he was doing 45 because of the road condition,,and have experienced some slipping of the rear end previously in the wet,coming into a gentle bend, he lost the rear end,over corrected, mounted the kerb, hit a wall,which in turn through him across the road into the side of a house. He was very lucky it was so early in the morning,another hour or so and it would have been rush hour,and *** knows what would have happened. As it was he was badly shaken up with a few bruises and a headache. When he bought the car,an Audi A3 sport last Sept the garage put 4 budget tyres on to satisfy the R.A.C. inspector, now these tyres are fine in the dry, but apparantly can be lethal in very wet conditions. The lesson learnt here is to pay the extra for the top marques Now he has to wait for the assesor and insurance to do there bit I hope this post may deter others who are thinking of using budget tyres

Come on people I'm sure every one has a relative or close friend who has been hit by this dreadfull disease,and had to see them suffer,not only the treatment,to prolong their life,but their gradual decline toward eventual death,if the treatment doesn't work. So please give now to this excellent cause. I lost a sister and two close friends,I do not want to lose any more friends or family,so the more we give the better the chances of cures being found. I will pledge a further £10 to what I have already pledged. So come on all those who are just looking and not pledging,dip your hand in your pocket, even if it's only £5,every little helps

Heard from the Weymouth tourism officer yesterday. The meet is just North of the Jubilee clock,where a lowered curb is,enabling us to drive on to the Esplanade ( beachside). Any other persons wishing to come please feel free, the more the merrier See you there Friday 6.00 to 6.30

I work for myself supplying a service,and the first 6 months were hard,living on the bare minimum whilst building up stock and a client base.the initial outlay is always the hardest part of starting your own business,but with a Bank which has a good small business advisor who can guide you along the way can be worth his weight in gold. Then there is your gut instinct,if this points you toward this path, then take it,and perhaps, in the near future, we may see WIM franchises for sale with your goodself as both teacher and mentor. If I add any more I'll just be repeating what has already been said
