The link they provide is for the make and model 'Lexus UX-2018' I also checked again on the website again and also looked up an Audi A1, or A4 and it seems they are using the same image for all vehicles. Not ideal I know. My own experience with other sites offering similar solutions aka CarMats4u, is that they are using generic images for simplicity and website efficiency. Some document this in the text, others dont. FYI, There are also references on the website for the Lexus 2021+ UX but they state they are looking for a vehicle / customer to make a template from, and quote two to 4 week delivery. If your willing to be the gineau pig they are showing this as a 'Free Boot Liner' Might be worth calling Titan Covers to discuss the fit for your specific vehicle and get the re-assurance you need before commiting. See image below for the 2021+ model year: https://www.titancovers.co.uk/lexus-ux-electric-2021-onwards-custom-bootliner-at/

Titan covers show a fabric / flexible boot liner covering all sides and floor of the car boot for a 2018 UX @ https://www.titancovers.co.uk/lexus-ux-2018-onwards-custom-boot-liner/ They also advertise a 'custom' option for the my2021+ but need a donor vehicle to make a pattern from.

I have used a boot liner from Carmats4U on my current Audi A4 and have no complaints. They do the job and can be used and abused with out breaking the bank. Lexus UX Phase 1 my2019+ @ £30 https://www.carmats4u.com/catalog/product/view/id/46651/s/lexus-ux-2019-boot-liner-mat-tray-fits-all-models-including-hybrid/category/2/ The car mats from Carmats4U are also pretty good. Lexus Parts Direct also show UX my2019+ boot liners at £64 including a version for models with the ML Sound system. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/shop/?make=351&model=352 I have no knoweldge if these will fit the my2023+ UX.

NX 2022 delivery date
Hillie replied to KoeNX's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
My dealership advised me this week that my order NX450H+ FSport Premium+ still has an expected build date of Oct 22 for Delivery Dec 22. They were not overly enthusiastic about these dates and I am not betting on seeing my car before mid to end Q1 2023. 😒 That said and along with all the positive reviews here, this is my go to video when I want to remind myself why the wait will be worth it. This review is from a pro Lexus convert and enthusiast in Ireland. The vehicle spec in the review is pretty much identical to my order, NX450H+ Fsport premium plus, black leather interior, sonic titanium which is why I keep going back to it. Can't wait...... role on 2023! -
Dealer using customer's car for business use
Hillie replied to MadJam250's topic in Lexus General Discussions
@MadJam250 I am currious, could you share some context or background on this topic. It is an interesting topic especially as I often use the collect and return service my current garage provides for servicing, MOT etc as it is convenient but I do wonder what else goes on during the test drives and collect or return journeys. So far nothing has surfaced that raises any suspicions for me but I insist on getting a copy of the collect and return paper work from the driver which I check for date and time just incase of speeding fines and additional vehicle damage etc. -
As a deterrent and theft recovery aid, I have used these Synthetic DNA security kits for my higher value tools and home / home office contents. They also have a Vehicle kit that also includes a window etching pack. When my NX450H+ arrives I am very tempted to tag it and contents such as charging cables, roof bars, detachable towing hitch etc with one of these kits for re-assurance and an extra layer of deterrance. https://www.selectadna.co.uk/dna-asset-marking/selectadna-vehicle-kit

Agreed. I was also wondering is Inchcape would or have gone one step further to restore customer faith and confidence in the brand. -

TrueFleet Vehicle Leasing provide a good summary of manufacturer lead-times. This was updated earlier this month and is pretty much consistent with the Lexus guidance issued in July. However it does show some improvements in other manufacturers vehicle lead-times. e.g Audi Q3 sportback PHEV for delivery in Q1 and now under 26 weeks but confirms Lexus continues to prioritise NX PHEV over NX Hybrid variants. There are also some lines where data clearly has not been updated. e.g Tesla. Lexus Factory Order Lead Time UX Hybrid = 8-9 months UX EV = 12+ months NX Hybrid = 12+ months NX PHEV = 7-8 months ES Hybrid = 8-9 months RX = now in run-out, new orders closed RC F = 12+ months LC = 11-12 months LC Hybrid = 8-9 months LC Convertible = 12+ months LS = 15 months https://truefleet.co.uk/blog/car-van-manufacturer-vehicle-lead-time-information -
I use this for occasional drying when a cannot be fussed to just take the car for short drive to air dry. It is expensive just for the car but is really very compact, has three speed settings (incl. OFF), and a 4aH battery lasts 30 mins on full power. It is no where near as loud as a 240V leaf blower-vac but not exactly the quietest tool out there. Also makes a good job of blowing the dust out of the man cave and workshop but IMO not heavy duty enough for wet leaves etc. GBL 18V-120 Professional

At last, someone else that has opted for Sonic Titanium. 😃 I was beginning to think I was the only one. Great choice inside and out @Summerbj -
Great colour choice and very eye catching. The black trim and dark wheel / window tint accents works well. Is there a hint of a red interior as well just visible through the open door? Very currious what choice you opted for inside.

Modern Plane cargo holds and electronics bays include multiple Fire, heat, smoke and CO sensors with redundancy and backups including limited fire supression capabilities. There have been many air accidents due to these issues with the root cause being 'batteries' Galaxy Note battery issue comes to mind and also the Boeing 787 Lithium battery saga. I agree. Some kind of 'Heat' or 'CO' cabin / cargo / boot sensors could be included that woud not be triggered by someone with a cigarette or vape or set off by exposure to extreme sunlight but would give an early(earlier) indication of a problem. It all just comes down to COST. I am also surpised major EV manufacturers dont include some fire / heat detection inside the sealed battery backs as part of the battery management system for very early run-away battery problems. A fuse is one thing but once the run-away has started it is hard to stop. May be I am over thinking this..... Its the engineer in me.

I have used CarMats4U frequently over the last few years for aftermarket mats with no complaints. They have been good value. My approach has been to 'Use, Abuse, Replace' every few years with out breaking the bank so I kept my budget limited to the mid range options. I did also get a set of rubber mats for really messy snow days (nearly non existent in the south), and although a little thin they did the job when needed. The old mats get re-used as kneeling mats when cleaning the car etc for another season or two before disposal. As @rayaans states, expect to pay more for the thicker higher quality mats.

I dont want to be the doomsayer, please be aware that the ZX1 website has a cautionary note against using the ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment in Hybrid engines and hybrid oils. https://www.team-zx1.com/extralube-zx1-micro-oil-metal-treatment.html

When helping my neighbours teenager change his car battery last week I noticed the Insurers black box hidden behind the old battery which is identical to the Rewire Security tracker in fit and form discussed here. Looking to this a bit more, it seems there are many of these companies using the exact same hardware manufactured by Teltonika (Lithuania) FMT100 device with a reseller business case differentiation based only on the data plans. Even the apps and capabilities are pretty much the same with any differences localised to the branding, app skins, & themes. I would even bet that the tracking data and login portals are through a Resellers proxy website and routed to the same host server. Some examples: iTrack FS100 GPS Vehicle Tracker @ https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-security/itrack-fs100-gps-vehicle-tracker-475766.html TruTrak FMT100 PAYG @ https://www.trutrak.co.uk/product-page/trutrak-fmt100-payg DB2 Self-Install GPS Car Tracker (Mentioned in this thread) @ https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/db2-self-install-diy-gps-tracker Transpoco FMT100 GPS Vehicle Tracking Device @ https://www.amazon.co.uk What caught my eye was the fact the FMT100 device uses a 2G M2M data network. See @ https://teltonika-gps.com/product/fmt100/#features With the Telecoms networks retiring 3G through 2023 the pressure on 2G M2M networks which is less clear will increase and the current 2G sunset date of cy2033 will likely happen sooner. This does not just affect vehicle trackers, but touches other markets such as the domestic smart meter market which is a well-publicised government influenced mis-managed rats nest. Read at https://hyphabit.io/2g-network-closure-uk/ on mobile network longevity and strategy. Anybody here old enough to remember the Y2K clock change saga….. Déjà vu

Commenting to an old post from May this year, I use a Bosch Pro GBL18-120 3 speed Cordless Blower and it works extremely well in finishing the car drying process. The blower is very small, light weight and packs a decent amount of power. 30mins+ run time on a 4Ah 18V battery. The unit is also exceptionally good at blowing the dust out of the man-cave onto the neighbours washing, lighting the BBQ and turning the garden incinerator into a home made blast furnace to ensure smokeless efficient combustion.

NX 450h+ electric and petrol range

For the Lexus Hypermiler community : Google Maps has a cool feature for Cyclists where it will show the gradient for a given journey. Even though this feature is not shown for car journeys, a car using the M3 this should hold some similarity in terms of elevation profile. During a moment of boredom whilst listening to an un-interesting conference call, I plotted an example the journey from Rownhams services Southampton to London LHR airport which for the most part uses the A30 *(cyclist route). The elevation changes from 39ft @ LHR to 558ft where the apogee being close to Basingstoke. Rownhams also seems to show that at the start this is a little bit higher in elevation making the gradient out of Hampshire being a little less demanding. Taking into consideration all theories, elevation/gradient, prevaling wind, vehicle speed and fact that the longest part of the journey is a downward gradient, this would support the statements here for a London bound journey through Hampshire being more efficient than a Southampton bound journey from London in terms of fuel efficiency. Why cant they show this elevation map for Car Journeys? The hypermilers would love it. 🤔🤔🤔🥱 -
That is definetly a good read. @NemesisUKThanks for posting the link.

@Herbie absolutely agree with you about positioning versus image detail. I am testing some locations now and reviewing the coverage, resolutionat different times of the day and night to get the best image quality before commiting to a final install. For me I have a detached double garage which is a little way from the house making things a little more complex. The location for the camera will be a compromise between height for greater area coverage at the expense of superior resolution and close up image clarity. I opted for 8MP camera's with optical zoom (not digital zoom) to partially offset this trade-off along with over-lapping cameras. Will post some images once I get things setup, but so far the Reolink cameras are impressive. The motion detection and senstivity is amazing. Setup is also exceptionally easy with ony rudimentary knowledge to get up and running.

Wireless (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, Cellular) or other can all be blocked with the right frequency jammer. Wired Ethernet or other wired connection is harder to defeat, but IMO, they could just as easily have used a piece of electrical tape and covered the lens or whole device, removing it when they left. I have an interest in this topic as various local social media groups (NextDoor, Facebook, etc) close to me are reporting an up-tick in late night suspicious activity, posting cctv pictures of attempted relay attacks in this area. No reports yet of CAN Bus attacks but in the last few years there have been a multitude of catalytic converter thefts as well. (and Toyota was most targeted). With the current economic situation worsening and rising costs affecting everyone, I am also certain that the sticky fingered within our society will be even more active in coming months. Although my NX is not due to be deliverred till end of year, I am installing some Reolink 8MP camera's high up on my house wall that over look my garage and drive way now. These cameras will be the hardwired with PoE and have some over lapping coverage for redundancy. When discussing the camera installation locations and area of coverage with my neighbour out of courtessy and respect for their privacy, they actually asked me to increase the coverage and eliminate the recording masks to also partially cover their drive. It turns out they are also concerned for the same reasons. I am also looking at a hardwired Door Bell/Camera with fish eye lens if I can find a way to route the cable relatively easily. Overkill maybe, piece of mind most certainly.

After trying all of the above and more, Lexus Customer service surrenderred. Case has been referred to the Lexus Multimedia team and a case reference issued. Following some more digging, I was able to find the following link that does work for me on Win 10, Firefox browser and gets me to my vehicle details. Works : https://www.lexus.co.uk/apps/customerportal#/ The link that I keep getting through the lexus.co.uk menus and is giving the 404 error: Does not work : https://www.lexus.co.uk/customer/portal#/

Exactly the same My Lexus / Lexus Portal experience here. This thing is messed up. I was going to call Lexus support but expect the 'Dilbert's @ Lexus Support' will tell me to: 1) Log out, & log back in. 2) Logout, reboot the computer, log back in 3) Logout, Clear the Browser cache, log back in 4) Use a different Browser 5) Use a different computer 6) Use the mobile App instead 7) Then call them back (....only to them be told it is the ISP's fault) So, I will do all of this before I call them cos' I am in a beligerent mood today and need to be prepared for a good verbal scrap over the telephone.....
