A quick search on the P/N quoted by @SH20 yeilds some results in America @ Lexus Parts Dealer. There is a useful tool to check the fit for different cars by VIN or Make/Model/Year. International shipping also available. I have no idea is LHD versus RHD will make any difference. Take note of the extra fittings associated with this item at the bottom of the web page. Hope this helps. https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/lexus-tray-spare-wheel-co~64779-33280.html

NX 2022 delivery date
Hillie replied to KoeNX's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
At the start of last week my dealer updated me and advised the Estimated Build Date had been changed to Dec (was November) and the new ETA at the dealership was shown as Feb 2023 (Was Jan). I am still waiting for confirmation that the Car has gone into Build. My order was placed May 15th 2022, NX450H+ F-Sport Premium Plus. Assuming the build will happen this month and the ETA of Feb 2023 is accurate I will ask the Dealership to delay registration till March and wait for the 23 plate. After 10 months, an extra few weeks to grab the new plate will not make any difference and give me 6months of spring and summer driving to enjoy the car more. -
NX 2022 delivery date
Hillie replied to KoeNX's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Japan is building both RHD and LHD models world wide where as IMO Canada is only LHD which I assume is predominently for the the North American Market. Worryingly I have seen a few references to the quality levels for finished vehicles coming out of TMMC Cambridge, Canada still being behind the Japan built models. One example is shown at time stamp 3:14 in the video below. Those NX rear seat backs are a disgrace. Personally I put up with a delay and wait for a Japanese build on this evidence alone. -
Another recall for my Gen 2 NX
Hillie replied to Andy B's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The 'Fuel Filler door release' issue has shown up in a recent What Car NX 2022 long term test update on 23 Nov 2022. They also mentioned a few aditional gremlins although the journalist remained very positive about th whole experience with the vehicle. See article @ https://www.whatcar.com/news/lexus-nx-450h-long-term-test/n24526 -
https://autowatch-ghost.co.uk/ Ghost II does look like a very capable security system. However I am concerned that any 3rd Party Anti Theft Security device such as this might interfere with other systems on the vehicle and create a scenario where by Lexus potentially voids any warranty or defect claims by blaming the after market 3rd Party System? Another question, would this device disable the entire CAN BUS system, and completely disable keyless entry / courtesy lights etc or does it just immobilise the powertrain. I could not find any discussion or FAQ on the Ghost website or product page on these points.

Another recall for my Gen 2 NX
Hillie replied to Andy B's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I pulled this snippet off an Australian website w.r.t NX 2022 LTA recall. This seems to be a global issue for Lexus. What is the condition? Due to a software error in the LTA control computer, the upper limit of the LTA steering angle may be reached earlier than expected. If this condition occurs, the system may provide a reduced level of lane centring assist than designed under certain road and vehicle conditions (e.g., curve radius, vehicle speed, etc.) and may not provide the full level of assist required under certain test condition https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/lexus-nx-recalled-for-three-fixes -
Lexus IS 300h Tyre Pressure sensors
Hillie replied to Peter Fraser's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
The majority of TPMS sensors have built in non-replaceable Lithium-ion batteries which are hard soldered into the units. The unit / sensor is sealed for moisture, temperature, vibration and impact protection. Battery life is generally stated as 3 to 7 or more years depending on brand. Replace when dead or damaged. -
Is this this the video and OBD tool you are refering too? THINKCAR® ThinkDiag All Systems Bidirectional Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner https://tinyurl.com/yvaxaspd Marty Motoring TPMS YouTube Video :

TYRE & ALLOY POLICY DOCUMENT.pdf I have not heard about "Complete Wheel Protection" but my dealer did offer 'Lexus Tyre and Alloy Protection'. Policy document attached for reference. This was offered to me at £399 Inc. as shown on my vehicle quote in May 2022 and before the mid year price increases. Hope this helps.

I went with Infinity Renewables (also with an office in Hampshire) for my solar installation. Solar Installation 4.3Kw JA Solar panels, 5Kw Growat (Solis) hybrid inverter and 9Kw battery storage with EPS double socket, optimisers and bird mesh @ £10,500 at time of installation in June 2022. This deal was part of the Hampshire Solar Together Group Buy scheme. I do agree with the comment about rising prices but also be aware of very long delivery and installation times. Colins note about the EPS socket and rating is correct. These EPS devices will max out at 10 amps to 13 amps limited by the inverter and intended for basic emergency backup such as medical devices and fridge freezer backup. When testing my EPS socket I also noted the earth connection concern. Note : I did originally have an order in for a Telsa Powerwall2 for the full off-grid backup features and benefits but the Tesla approved installer could not provide me with a confirmed delivery date even after 6 months. Verbally they were advising 18months+. I cancelled that order.

NX 450h+ hum at standstill?
Hillie replied to AlanDL's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
This is a long shot and I do not know if you have an F-Sport Model, but the F-Sport models have an "Active Sound Control" feature that attempts to make a more sporty engine noise in the cabin. At standstill could this speaker be causing the hum inside the vehicle? The specs suggest there is a volume control for this and I confess I have no idea where it is. -
Another great review from the Car Care Nut on Youtube for the LC500

Deb I notice you are in Hampshire. Did you place your order with Snows, Hedge End? My order is with Snows, and despite having a copy of the receipt for the deposit and spec sheet, I did have to push them over the first few days to get a copy of the factory order confirmation. They did give me this within 3 working days of asking but IMO they are NOT a pro-active dealership. Since then any delivery update has been at my request and not once have they pro-actively contacted me with delivery updates. Stay on it and keep chasing them.

I placed my order on May 17th and had a confirmed order number and paper work with in three working days. The Lexus app was also working and I could see my order status. Worth checking with the dealer if they have been able to secure the order as at some time in October Lexus stopped taking orders for cy2023 on the NX350H. Notice appeared on the Lexus UK website earlier this month.

Just wait till the UK government (or the so called local authorities) decide to introduce EV only lanes on our motorways and dual carriage ways. This has happened in California and the green lanes are paralised by the hypermiler drivers hogging the lanes with the EV acceleration junkies lane hoping to get in front of them.

Here is the link again without the indented bullet point. I tried a cut-n-paste and it worked. https://www.directlinegroup.co.uk/en/news/brand-news/2022/p71-2-million-of-stolen-car-parts---number-plates-and-catalytic-.html I may well come accross as an un-believer in the net benefit of tagging / marking to us as owners in the long term, but irrespective I am a supporter of doing whatever can be done to eventually bring the cretins to account. I am totally on board with this, and all my work tools are tagged with Micro Dots but I have still been victim to the odd tool theft despite visible labels and to date not one item recoverred. It would be nice if the vendors that market the ident kits / marking kits, published some impirical data to back up their claims. It would be good if the media that promotes these options as a viable deterents also research the topics to show how effective they are. Hence my slightly sceptical position.

Agreed, doing something is always better than doing nothing. IMO, prevention is the best option, Cat Lock / Cat Clamp and basic security measures such as Off-road parking / Private Garage Parking, CCTV, illuminated parking areas etc. I am not sure that marking or tagging will bring any real benefit to us as vehicle owners as the idiots probably cannot read and wont care anyway. By the time the police or other agencies find your cat, and identify the owner (if the unit was forensically marked) it will be beyond repair, and you would have already replaced it to get your vehicle back on the road. Your insurance company almost certainly would have marked this as an 'At Fault' claim impacting your next premiums so for them it is a dont care. Customer pays eitherway in the long term. The forensic mark will only help the police in prosecution by linking the unit to a suspect and a known crime. For the statistics, like you I cannot find any data that shows the annual recovery ratio of security marked Cats' or Cats' that were protected by clamps and locks. Direct line indicate that number plates were the most stolen items closely followed by Catalytic converters at 40,000 units in 2021 and the crime rate is increasing. https://www.directlinegroup.co.uk/en/news/brand-news/2022/p71-2-million-of-stolen-car-parts---number-plates-and-catalytic-.html My biggest gripe and one for the LOC 'RANT' thread is this: This is clearly a known risk to manufacturers, insurers, and law enforcement. Adding a CAT lock at the manufacturing stage with VIN marking included would bring much greater re-assurance, customer satisfaction and risk reduction. This is no different to the 90's when alloy wheels were prime targets for the cretins leading to locking wheel nuts being fitted as standard. I must finish this and also say: bad on Toyota and Lexus that still top the most affected vehicle lists. <End of RANT>

Lexus quality control (faults)
Hillie replied to fourbanks's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
Some interesting reading here on Vehicle and Manufacturer reliability ratings from the team at What Car. Lexus scores highly along with Toyota but both get dinged frequently for Battery issues. https://www.whatcar.com/news/2022-what-car-reliability-survey-large-suvs/n23405 -
I have zero experience of Android Auto or Apple Carplay, ...but surely there must be an app for that? Perhaps you could punt this to Lexus and ask if they allow user installed apps such as an Analog clock to be displayed on the console screen, or even provide an embedded option in the media OS settings so you could change the digital clock to an Anaolg clock just as you can on your mobile devices.
