Popped into Lexus Hedge End today to work through some admin stuff on my NX450H+ and fell over this lurking in a corner of the show room... Was informed it is very low mileage (<5K) but didn't dare sit in it to find out. I believe the colour is Graphite Black and the lustre is amazing.

I have the Scorpion X fitted and this also supports a limited number of buttons and like you I was dissapointed by this selection. For the Scorpion the button choices do include some steering wheel controls. I am starting to believe that Scorpion and Ghost share some common attributes in design and implementation. Could it be that the choice of buttons is also dependent on the specific CAN bus circuit they are tied into?

Ghost 2 immobiliser, not yet!
Hillie replied to WhiteHart's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I have had the Scorpion X fitted to my NX450H+ F-sport 4 weeks ago and no major concerns. The only caution I would advise (as desxribed to me bu the installer) is to make sure the PIN code uses at least two button groups e.g Window or Mirrow AND steering wheel buttons otherwise valet mode may not work. I was told that the steering wheel controls operate off LIN bus (a lower performance / lower cost version of CAN bus) and this can be a little laggy. I have also noticed that it is better to wait for the vehicle to power up before entering the PIN, e.g wait for all the dash check lights to go off. In terms of testing I am checking different things every day including remote functions such as the App controlled climate control, remote door locking through the App, on demand charging, scheduled charging and so far everything is working. I will be checking the Valet mode over the weekend when I have some time to just sit in the vehicle and play. -

Second Key Fob NX 450H+
Hillie replied to Hayzee's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Same here. Picked up my NX Late May and only one key fob with no ETA for the 2nd key. On a more positive note I was told my key is UWB (Ultra Wide Band) which provides enhanced immunity against relay theft. Worth checking with your dealer if your car also has UWB keyless entry. For the serious engineers here, there is some helpful reading on UWB Passive Keyless Entry in the link below. https://www.edn.com/uwb-enhances-security-of-passive-keyless-entry/ -
NX 2022 NEW MODELS REVEAL
Hillie replied to Phil xxkr's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
When eyeballing the mirrors on my NX450H+ in the folded position they look just about inline with the edge of the wheel arches and be within a cm or so of the vehicle body width. See image below. For the dimensions the owners manual is a little devoid of detail on this, but I did find a Belgium web site which was more forth coming. Link and screen shot below. Hope this helps. https://autotijd.be/en/dimensions/lexus/nx -
Congrats Chris. I am sure you will be amazed with the car. I have had my NX450H+ a little under 4 weeks and I am still grinning and looking forward to every journey. The EV only mode for local comutes is really good. Please share some photos and opinions when you collect the car.

Alistair My tow bar was Factory fitted (at Lexus Derby PDI centre on arrival into the UK) and was orderred in May 2022 with the vehicle prior to the 2022 and 2023 price increases. My dealer also advised they can also fit Lexus approved tow bars as this discussion came up when there was doubt if my tow bar was in stock and would be fitted at Derby. From Lexus Parts Direct, NX Phase II 2022+ Tow Bar £423 https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-nx-phase-2-vertical-detachable-towing-hitch/ Electrics £173 https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-nx-phase-2-13-pin-electrics Fitting : Unknown, need to contact your dealer. Factory Order Tow Bar Option Pricing £895 Fitted. @Mad_4u Abdul I do not believe you can ever fully protect your pride and joy as these idiots will always find a way if determined enough and especially when stealing vehicles to order. I have also just taken delivery of an NX450H+ and have opted to have Scorpion X CAN bus immobiliser (similar to Ghost II) installed next week and used the LOC discount with the S5+ Tracker. I also use the Milenco steering wheel lock when at home and in non secure car parks. Many in the LOC here will also advocate the bright yellow STOPLOCK. You can also disable the key fob RF from receiving vehicle smart access broadcasts from the car with a simple two button procedure. This will prevent Relay attacks as the key will broadcast its presence. This does not require you to disable the primary remote access in the vehicle settings. This is also recommended to disable any spare key fobs as well. I also keep my active key in a RF Faraday Pouch when out and abouyt and in a faraday tin when at home. See link below that woirks really well and holds one Lexus and fob: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B081Q73X2T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 IMO your comment to park your wife's car behind yours and block you in is probably best the idea and deterence.

NX 2023 delivery date
Hillie replied to Chance521's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Thanks @Husky125 It turns out that they relocated the kick sensor 8 to 10 inches to the left of the dead centre as you look towards the front of the vehicle due to the tow bar install. IMO the tow bar structure also masks the sensor a little making a little hit and miss on one side. However it is working. -

I took another look today while test fitting the detachable hitch. There is very very little room behind the tow bar structural beam. IMO, I suspect this tow bar structual beam impedes on the damper attachment points or damper operation. -

NX 2023 delivery date
Hillie replied to Chance521's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I have been quiet about my vehicle delivery over the past few months due to a false 'gone to build and In Transit alert' sent by Lexus Customer Services through the App, only then to have them cancel that notification with no explanation or reason. Zero Communication from Lexus themselves and since then I was not sure if the informationj I was getting from the Lexus app was accurate. Even my dealer was frustrated and did share the internal Compass system correspondence with me at all stages. I cannot complain at the dealer here... more on this later under another thread. Anyway, I collected my NX450H+ F-sport in Sonic Titanium today and I am over the moon with the vehicle. Given the common topics and discussion points in this thread, and for those that are interested in the nitty gritty details: Order Details NX450H+ F-sport Premium Plus in Sonic Titanium Front and Rear Dash Cam Protection Pack Roof Bars + Roof Box Tow Bar Delivery Orderred 15th May 2022 Build date Mid-March 2023 Shipped 29th March 2023 Vessel Name : Morning Clarie Arrived Portbury 28th April 2023 Arrived Derby 4th May 2023 Arrived Dealership (Southampton) 22nd May 2023 Collected 26th May 2023. Status on key items The vehicle is MY24 Single Key Fob provided (2nd Key Fob to be provided 'Eventually') Keyfobs are 'UWB' Car does include NanoeX Dash Cam Front and Rear has been fitted. Tow Bar Fully Fitted. ( I believe this does disable the kick sensor option - still trying to verify) Protection Pack including Mud Flaps and Rear bumper PPF strip all fitted Roof Bars and Roof Box OK (Despite Lexus shipping the wrong colour) Locking wheel bolts not fitted (to be provided 'eventually') Notes The Tow bar is very discrete and is recessed when not used. I have included a picture below as I have not see any previous images of an NX Phase II of how the TB looks. There is a cut out in the bumper skirt which can be seen from underneath. The HUD does not work with my Polarised Oakley's Pictures -
First feedback with NX450H+
Hillie replied to NiCoRe's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
@NiCoRe Just orderred one and have not even received my car yet 🤪 This is an upgrade I know will make a difference. Just not sure about the valve caps yet, but please keep the 'Useless therefore Essential' upgrade ideas coming. thanks. -
Many here in the LoC community have quite correctly stated that these trackers and CAN BUS immobilers are only effective after the vehicle has been damaged and entry to vehicle has been made. Many advocate the deterent effect of a bright yellow, highly visble steering wheel lock that hopefully makes the idiots go away before casuing any damage. Most of the installations of Immobilisers and trackers are clandestein / stealthy so they cannot be removed easily, but also there is no visible warning that the vehicle is protected by such devices. @msdsx When Scorpion installed your devices, did they also provide optional window stickers to warn potential theives that the vehicle is protected and tracked? When my NX arrives I am almost certainly going to proceed with a Scorpion tracker+immobilsor installation but I am also of the opinion that a visible deterrent is best and advertising the fact the car is protected by a tracker and immobilisor (just like the visible disklock which I will also have) will increase this deterrent factor. Opinions welcome!

Delayed delivery
Hillie replied to David Williamson's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
This appeared in the Daily Smell, sorry I meant DailyMail, on vehicle delivery delays. The Lexus NX gets two mentions. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-12024471/How-long-takes-new-car-delivered-Britain.html?ico=mol_desktop_money Lexus response, I quote: ' Our dealers undertake regular communication programmes to update customers on their orders ' REALLY!!!!! -
Marcus https://scorpiontrack.com/ UK company and Thatcham approved and offer 'At Home' installation arranged by them through their network of installers. Unusually they also offer a 'Lifetime' subscription option if you plan to own the car greater than 5years. IMO Not many vehicle tracking companies offer this. Finally they are also offering LOC members a discount so it is worth giving them a bell and mention you are a member here. Details pasted below. I used Scorpion on my Audi quattro with at home installation, lifetime subscription and have had no issues at all with the product. Installation was quick, clean and tidy.

Lexus RZ revealed
Hillie replied to talaipwros's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Agreed, Fisker is entirely focused on the vehicle build, up selling and specmanship and not really discussing after market aspects at this stage. Even the show rooms today seem to be more like pop-up booths in shopping centres, conference areas and airport concourses. No doubt the questions of post sales sales support will bubble up to the top of the critical list as soon as they start shipping orders. -
Lexus RZ revealed
Hillie replied to talaipwros's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
I have been browsing some articles on the top of the range Fisker Ocean Extreme, at £61K plus options, coming with a 'Fisker claimed' WLTP of 440miles from the Hyper range battery. Even at half this number for a real world usable range, this vehicle is cheaper, larger and 2x the range of the RZ. https://www.fiskerinc.com/en-gb/ocean-extreme For me this is the first BEV that is starting to peak my interest from a potential real world range, aesthetics, and looks. -
This will just make ownership feel even more special. Congrats on the choice and patience wating for delivery.
