Twice now I have had this exact situation after two repeat journeys from Southampton to North Wales and back. EV Range at ZERO, fuel guage on one bar and range showing 50 to 55 miles. When filing up both times the tank took 25 litres and 27 litres. I am going to have to see realistically how far the last bar on the guage will get me and see if that resets the Range estimate.

Chance The NX media menus for the flash drive are IMO 'Clunky' Here are some screen shots from my display but I admit I cannot always find a away to navigate back to the File directory on the flash drive. Lexus in its wisdom seems to decide when IT wants tio display the flash drive contents or is taking a very long time to index the drive. Initially I was able to select the file I want to play, but could nopt always navigate back to the menu. I was able to rotate through the videos by using the Advance / Rewind Arrows either side of the pause button.

I am convinced that portions of the Phase 2 NX media system manual is a cut and paste from the last generation media manual with new images and pointers. Has no one at Lexus has really checked to see if the manual reflects the true operating specifications and capabilities of the new media system? This happens a lot in industry where the marketing / tech pubs teams dont check in with the hardware designers and software teams to cross check on what is documented.

Colin, I have a NX450H+ F-Sport MY2024, no external CD, I am not running Android Auto, No streaming service such as Spotify, No wifi connection. Phone is connected via bluetooth but no media is streaming from the phone. Just using the stock Media system with USB Flash drive plugged into the media port on the front console above the charger.

Colin With a non FAT32 the USB drive was greyed out With a FAT32 Drive I could select the drive in the Sources menu. However this discussion spiked my curiosity and for the larger audience I know from experience that by using 3rd party drive tools you can format a large flash drive >32GB using FAT32 (Not exFAT or NTFS). I took a 64GB flash drive which my 450H+ media system could not read (Greyed out), and reformated this as FAT32 using the tool 'Rufus'. I copied a series of MP4 Video files of different sizes to the drive. The media system was able to play them all and it is worth noting one of the video files 'Passengers 2016' was clearly over the Lexus stated max file size of 2GB. The quality of the audio and video playback is excellent. And before you ask, yes I am a closet Sci-Fi addict and not quite a fully fledged 'Treky' yet. And (sorry for the plug) but if you have a wicked sense of humour, search YT for full movie version of Ronal the Barbarian, the first half of the movie will make you laugh (No kids allowed). It is a license free / free to view movie.

New Lexus Link + app released 18th Aug

Jon I was curious about this so I locked the car with the key this morning after a short drive (double press) and then tried the App to unlock the vehicle. It worked perfectly and the car was unlocked. Ten minutes later I succesfully locked the car through the App. I am still not convinced about the app functionality due to IMO poor Lexus cloud services reliability. Clearly there is no consistency between everyones experiences using these tools. -

Jon, My car was locked last night using the key and the keys are stored in a faraday tin (out of range). I tried the app Lexus Link+ (Android version) to unlock the car as follows at lunch time today: 1) Keys out of range : App reported an error and and would not unlock the car. 2) Removed the keys from the faraday tin (now in range) : App reported an error and would not unlock the car. 3) I also verified the key would un-lock the car which it did. I then used the App to LOCK the car which it did. 4) Now, at 4:30pm today I repeated this experiment and with the keys secure in the faraday tin (out of range) the App Unlocked, and re-locked the car very quickly with immediate app notifications thatb this had been completed. Who knows why Lexus cloud services have so many issues. -
Nextbase Unstable WiFi Connection
Hillie replied to Roger Bill's topic in Lexus Audio/Video/Electronics/Security
I believe the Wifi issue was a firmware problem on the host (380GW/GWX device) and not the App / User device, client side. My app updated August 4th and have not seen any difference. The App version history suggests this update was for date format only. On a side note I have just noticed that NextBase Android app user reviews are very poor 2/5. Maybe they do have a lot in common with Lexus - neither company can make a good app. 🫢 -

It is for me. Running both side by side on an Android device. -

Just installed it and first impressions are positive. Much improved. I am wondering if Lexus are launching this in stealth mode to gauge interest and measure feedback as I have not seen any news or updates about a new app from Customer Service. -
Nextbase Unstable WiFi Connection

Same result on both points. V4.9 is far more stable and at a level where I can browse video clips and delete locked content that is not needed. As for the settings, I was wondering if I deleted a settings / config file in the root directory of the SDCARD when I reformated it on my laptop. I also has to reset my Reg and preferences. -
Nextbase Unstable WiFi Connection

Correct. NextBase sent me to that link myself then when it did not work as they expected I manually searched the support site to get the lattest firmware. They are aware of that error in the instructions documentation, but clearly have elected not to do anything about it. The support ticket I raised with them was mid June this year.
