  1. Thank you mate. That’s very welcoming of you. I may just do that 👍☕️ Feel free to pm me your address or phone number and I’ll happily pop over for a drive and have a look at your Carbon Edition.
  2. Yeah, it’s the first thing I do with pretty much any car I buy. Especially a V8. Can’t wait to get it now.
  3. Glad you got one sorted mate. I can’t wait to take delivery of mine.
  4. I can’t wait to collect it this week. The white one that is 👍😂
  5. Thanks mate. Appreciate it. Manual mode was amazing. I just want to give it a really good clean and polish to start with and then I can get the exhaust on it and give it a good drive.
  6. Thanks mate. I intend to get to as many shows as possible too. 👍
  7. Ha ha quality. Love it. My last 2 years of service has been easy and relaxed. Hardly been in the office if I’m honest. So, I’ve found it quite a slow progressive step into civvie life. I’ve landed a job starting in September as a Fuel Tanker Driver as a complete direction change from my trade as a Marine Engineer. Just need to work out how to syphon some of the good stuff out of the trucks 😂😂😂😂
  8. Hi everyone, I’ve already introduced myself on the new owners page but was advised to come and say Hi on here and introduce myself. I’ve been in the British Army for 25 years and have just left. I’d always promised myself a nice car to keep as a present to myself for 25 years service. It had to be a V8 as they won’t be around forever!!!!! I looked at the normal suspects (M3, RS5, C63 etc) and purely came across the RCF by accident about 3 years at my local Lexus Dealer in Hedge End. I genuinely was stopped in my tracks at the design of it. I thought it was absolutely stunning from every angle. Then, when I found out it had an n/a V8 I was hooked on it. So, to today. I found this one last week at the same dealer when I went with my mate for him to have a look at a car for himself. (I always get asked to go car shopping with friends as I am a proper petrolhead and car geek) I couldn’t get over how clean and tidy this car was and how well it had been looked after. It was plain to see it had been someone’s pride and joy and been garaged it’s whole life. 7 years old and only 19000 miles on it led me to believe it had been a weekend car. And the service history spelt that out too. I booked a test drive for 4 days later after putting a holding deposit on it. I was told I wouldn’t be disappointed by the sales team. They weren’t wrong. I did the deal on the same day after returning from test drive. I’m really happy. And it will continue to be a fine weather weekend car and to take to shows.
  9. Not a problem at all mate.
  10. I went for the chrome tips as I like something to polish and clean. And they will stand out more. I asked for them to be as loud as possible and he said not a problem. I get the impression that they can quieten them down if you liked. I want as loud as possible as the resonators and cats do a good job of taking the volume out of it anyway.
  11. Yes mate. I phoned them up as I’m pretty old fashioned and like to talk to people. I got put through to the fabricator (Alex or Alan) can’t remember. Super helpful and tailored it to how I wanted it. I would recommend speaking to them as if they are building a set for me it would be helpful if they are using the same jig to make yours from mine. If you catch my drift?
  12. I’ve just bought a ticket to attend and display my RCF at Simply Japanese at Beaulieu Motor Museum on Sun 24th July 2022. Is anyone else attending?
  13. Ok thanks mate. Appreciate the feedback. 👍
  14. Birma, I’ve just ordered the Hayward and Scott axle back exhaust back boxes. Did you have to replace the exhaust gasket between the centre section and the back box pipe? Or is it just a one for one swap? thanks mate.
  15. Thanks Chris. Yes, they are good down there.
  16. Hi Birma, I live near Romsey Golf course in a village called Nursling. And yes, I’ll be sure to introduce myself on the F pages.
  17. I’ve just ordered one of these from Hayward and Scott for my RCF. Should have it in around a month.
  18. So, I’ve been looking at the usual suspects. 911 of 997 Carrera S variety - but engine made of chocolate. TVR Tuscan - just couldn’t find one that was the same money and immaculate + always thinking is it going to get me there? Lotus Exige 350 Sport - nice but doesn’t have the class. F80 M3 and W205 C63 - great and quick but the M3 sounds terrible and has crank hub issues and the C63 was my real quandary. I’ve heard of some issues. What I really love is the reliability and exclusivity of the RCF. Those who know, know.
  19. Just treated myself to a 2015 RCF from Lexus Hedge End in Southampton. Fantastic people to deal with. The car is white with only 19000 miles on the clock. It’s immaculate and looks like it’s had a pampered life. Absolutely blown away by the car. I’ve had lots of performance cars over the years ranging from M3’s to Lotus Exiges, TVRs and VXR8’s. This RCF just seems the complete package. And the noise is to die for. Anyone else from the Hampshire area?
