L55 RCF

Ok everyone. Sorry for the delay. I have now approached ‘The Departure Lounge Cafe’ at Alton in Hampshire (near Basingstoke). It’s a great venue and the staff are very friendly. They are busy with weddings most Saturdays from now until end of August. So, to that end I’m waiting on a call back tomorrow to see their availability for Sept/Oct. They are very hopeful that most Saturdays after the summer holidays are free. Is everyone happy for me to just book a Saturday in Sept/Oct and it will be pot luck?

Probably lots. I’m displaying my car at Simply Japanese this year. I popped into Lexus Hedge End and got talking about the GSF and I mentioned your car. There’s not many about. In fact I’ve never seen a GSF on the road.

I go to most of the Breakfast Clubs. I only live in Southampton so it’s only 40 mins to get there.

I’ve just applied for Vee Power Sunday to display my RCF. Let’s see what happens.

Ok, so after finally getting a response back from our intended venue, long story short, it’s a no go as they no longer have a shop to walk around. It’s just mail order. so, to that end, has anyone else got any other suggestions where you would like to meet? I’ll happily organise it, just tell me where you want it.

Ok cheers mate. so, you can leave the bonnet open and the car locked or unlocked? I don’t mind leaving it unlocked as my garage is secure.

Those with an RCF who keep their car in a garage for weekend cars/special occasion cars, how do you keep your car’s battery in tip top condition? I’ve got a CTEK battery charger/conditioner and would like to keep it on my car. I just don’t know whether to connect it straight onto the battery terminals or if there are some charging posts on the car somewhere that I don’t know about. I want to keep the bonnet closed but am conscious that I will have a wire sticking out of a shut line and potentially ruin the rubber on the shut line. Hope this makes sense!!!! Please can someone shed some light as to what you do?

I’m also thinking about doing the same. I see Driftworks in this country are a seller of Swift springs for other Lexus models. Nothing listed for the RCF but it does say to contact them if you can’t find what you are looking for. They also sell wheel spacers too.

Ok, I’ve been in touch and had to send them an email which they will put in front of the Director to see if he is happy for this to go ahead. I’ve asked for a list of Saturday morning dates that will suit them and then we can take it from there with a majority vote on a date that suits us. 👍🤞

Ok, so I know I’m new here and on my introduction thread it seems a few of us are keen to have a bit of a meet somewhere in the Hants/Surrey area. I’m going to approach a company called Grand Prix Legends / Diecast Legends. The company is split in two. I can’t seem to attach the website on here but please feel free to Google both companies. They are the same thing. I’ve been before many years ago and they have a substantial car park on an industrial estate. They are based in Guildford post code - GU3 1LU Who is interested? In the meantime over the next few days I will speak to them and make sure they are happy to have a mini meet. Ben

That’s interesting. Thanks Dave. I went to look at it twice before finally test driving it. I pick it up tomorrow morning and am therefore super excited. I’m really very picky when it comes to buying a car and it has to be immaculate. Stone chips on the front I was fine with as I know for a fact it’s only going to get more. The LC looks lovely by the way. Are you around the Hampshire area?
