Still no further forward about this tiny square box about a centimetre square which seems like it has a little bulb in it it has no cap that you can lift up Once again its situated at the bottom of the shift lever you could easily miss it.. It is so small but dont know what it is there for or the Purpose of it you certainly could not get a key in it...any one any ideas ? Ron

Can Anyone tell me what the little square light directly at the base of the auto transmission lever is for ? lexus nx 300h Its a tiny little square box Very small.. Just wondered if it was some kind of warning light or to measure light in the cabin... ?? Ron

Adam.. Yes.. I Always place the key fob in the Faraday pouch at night and remove the keys in the morning...Most cars are stolen at night...

Never Thought of that Brent.. .I Have just bought two, Keep one in the hall upstairs at night and the other protecting the spare key which is kept in the safe..But i also have a Ring outdoor camera wired to the mains which is directed at my pride and joy 24/7 So i feel i am doing everything possible to secure my Car.. DEFINATELY NOT.!!!!! Have you not heard of Relay theft ? Thieves come along with a piece of kit Which can trace your keys inside your home Then transmit the signal to a blank keyfob .Then there off with your car...Get two faraday pouches one for your spare key and the other for everyday use and keep that one in your bedroom ..ALSO get a Milenco steering wheel lock and always put it on at night..Its the Business ( Around £64 from Halfords ) Also install a ring outdoor camera which will protect your car 24/7 The subscription is £3.49 per month but well worth it. Dont get me Wrong if a real Professional car thief fancies your car He will get it..But in the main your up against Petty opportunist car Thieves .So Dont make it easy for them.. Advice / Recommendations Please.... I was considering Purchasing A Nocco GB 40 Car Battery Jump Starter For My Lexus Nx300H As A Standby if my car sits idle And wont Start..My Question is: Do members Think this is a Good Idea Or Not And if so What would be your recommendations as to what I Should consider.. John Thank-you For Your Advice...I did phone Lexus LRA and explained The Situation with the Breakdown cover .He eventually pulled up my file As I Had Changed the reg plate and said that Breakdown cover was included until July 3d of next Year But Was Not Sure If it would continue Beyond That date (He seemingly couldnt access that information because one of his computers was down ) I suspect he didnt Know.. However i can Phone the dealership particularly because My annual Service is not due to the 26 september and according to LRA Breakdown cover is only up to 3d July So I effectively would have nearly 3 months where i had No breakdown cover..Whats your thoughts on this John..Bit of a grey Area..I think Lexus Edinburgh should be able to sort this..Hopefully..Ron

Milenco steering Wheel Lock..Its The Business However REMEMBER A Real professional Car Thief will Even overcome this Deterent..But for car security this is the best.. My opinion Only Of Course.. Oh I Also Have 24hr CCTV Focused on the Car only This can Help... Other Fantastic Advice IS Make a bed up in the back seat of the car for the Wife Nobody will come Near...GUARANTEED.!!!!

Many Thanks ken for your reply..Yes I Did Buy The Car From Lexus Edinburgh ..I Must say The Customer Service is Second to none ..The experience was very Favourable This is my first lexus although i have fancied the Brand for some considerable time now..and after driving the car it has exceeded all expectations in relation to reliability,style comfort and not forgetting all the gizzmo,s it has to offer...I Did However phone the previous owner whose name was in the handbook who reassuringly told me that he had never had any problems whatsoever with the car in the two years he owned it..GREAT NEWS KEN..May i thank you once again for taking the time to reply to my initial comments and would love to keep in touch with you..Regards Ron
