Sorry to hear about the problems you are Having with the Nx450h Albeit software issues and I would agree Lexus Should most definately have Addressed these problems Sooner rather than Later..ironically i was thinking My next Lexus might well be The same as Yours So hopefully they will get this software issue sorted ...Mine goes in to Edinburgh 22d June for its first M.O.T Followed by my Insurance Renewal ..Think I will stick with Saga For another Year.. Mark.. Would it not be better getting a ghost immobiliser installed much rather than a tracker.. Better to prevent the car being stolen in the first place... Just A Thought !!!

And Thanks for Clarifying The points you Raised..I should have given it a bit more Scientific Thought..Reason I suggested that was my Good friend who has a Volkswagon Jetta Had a problem with the battery and got a jump start from another colleague.. Whatever happened The jump start had adversely affected some of the components in the fuse box..hence the reason i thought is safer to use the Noco boost in that event... But Thanks again for that information...

Hi Zuby.. When the car Had the Hybrid battery checked and it failed..WHAT DID The Lexus dealership say as to the reason why it had failed. ( you did not mention the reason it had failed the test ) Was It Perhaps Faulty cells or corrosion in the main leads connecting The power to the car etc.. Perhaps the cooling fans on either side of the hybrid battery needed a good clean or replaced..You Need to check this..!! Also i suspect the 12v Battery has been replaced And that would also indicate why you are having problems with the hybrid battery..There is a strong possibility that the car has been sitting idle a lot longer than 3 Mths for these problems to arise.. I Personally think jump starting a lexus can in some cases cause problems with The dynamics of the electrical system and thats why a have a Noco gb40 booster that connects on the special link in the fuse box Engine compartment and is a lot safer...Would be a good idea to book a full service at your local lexus dealership and let them FULLY evaluate the car assuming you still want to buy it..

Andy... Push the boat out and get 2 x Michelin primacy 2 all Weather Tyres on the car You Wont regret it..And yes Needs replacing I suspect you havent hit ANYTHING but its a Tye build Fault in the side wall..

Strange that Since you disconnected the battery These issues seem to have Appeared..Could it have something to do with the factory default settings i.e Computer dynamics And needs resetting at the Dealership i.e Techstream.. Just a Thought.!!!

Craig.. Have you checked your Settings ie.. Boot opening Procedure..If It Peviously was working Perfectly you must have Changed something Inadvertantly or without knowing exactly what it was This does sound like a settings issue..And when you get a new car especially a lexus you kind of fiddle about with all the Hi- Tech on the car..Go back into your settings and check..Could be the answer... also check key fob battery /or/ Other key fob to operate car.. failing all else google it and see what comes up.. Cant think of anything else it could be craig

I think Check your 12v Battery Its not the key fob itself Strongly suspect the Battery Possibly the battery has been low and affected the computer dynamics..

wheel clamps are useless..no security at all..

Thanks Paul For that Technical Information...It does seem that The complexity of the Canbus system Is in itself a Major weakness To protect Our Cars .The ethernet cable system seems better and more secure albeit somewhat..The problem delves into Ad-En- Finitum in Ways to counter approach This Major Weakness In My opinion.. Hope lexus takes on Board our real concerns for Future Models..Ghost Immobiliser seems the only logical and scientific road to Go Down....

Would it Not be possible to Deal With This Canbus Security problem With A Software Upgrade or Does this require additional Work done to the car at the Dealership If This indeed Possible..!!
