Wish to learn more about my IS and DIY more advanced maintenance or repair items. I am in Hong Kong and there is only one dealer who charges whatever she wants. Thanks for any input.
I dont know how everything works over there. but here in the States, all i had to do is call lexus (toyota) customer care and they mailed the manuel with leather case to me for free!
Are you sure it was a service manual???
Sounds more like an Owners manual!
Hi mate how did you get the manuals on your pc i have paid for 24 hours worth but when i click on a manual
naff all happens have i been ripped off?

Hi mate you might want to consider one of these
they help disperse the air from the coolant making
the system more efficient and keeps ECT at a minimum.
(its a swirl pot by the way)

So all was good in the end mate. Glad for you.
Hope none of this happens when mine is being done this week well it shouldnt because it is being done professionally.
Yup all sorted out now. Fingers crossed for yours as well and that the black box transfers across ok.
I have to say Andy did a very professional job on it though and the little problem was one that could not be seen, only felt.
Still waiting for a new throttle cable from TTE then i'll be able to use it to its full potential.
Anyone know the best place to get a low pressure boost guage from? maximum of 1 bar.
Lee.
Hi,
i just got one of these cheap and fast delivery
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GAUGEPLACE-STEALTH-1...1QQcmdZViewItem
Cheers for that, I just found this one as well
1Bar boost gauge 2nd one down.
Where have you mounted yours?
I haven't fitted it yet i was going to see if a sat nav housing pops up on eBay and mount it in there
along with oil temp, oil pressure gauges

Are you talking about the TTE piggy back ECU or the whole OEM ECU Ouch if its the latter
I noticed that the TTE piggyback ECU doesn't seem to like moving from car to car. Most people who have had problems with the TTE piggy back ECU are those who have purchsed their SC kit second hand that has previously been installed in another IS. Just an observation
Yeah, on about the Main ECU, got a new one for a very decent price :winky: :winky:
piggy back ECU is not connected at all. Will have to contact TTE for a replacement or try and get hold of a HKS, as I've heard a few good things about them.
Hi there mate did my pics help? also if you can send it back i have a ecu you can try f.o.c.
What is the hks ecu called as im thinking of getting a s/c soon myself.
HKS F-Con
Thanks for that any good place to get one?

Not long got back from work. popping to have a lookin bit, going to use a multimeter to test for an open circuit.
Got a few more 20amp fuses to try, if no joy will get hold of a relay tomorrow and give that a try.
piggy back ECU has been taken out now and the original cables soldered back together. Not many other things that can blow the fuse surely. Either a short or a faulty relay. Both of which will be test tonight on tomorrow.
We will get this sorted out, soon hopefully
@baggy, can only see one pic mate.
Lee.
sorry mate it wont let me put both on pm me your email and ill send you both :)

Hi all thinking of running a oil cooler along with two gauges oil temp and oil pressure is there a way
of doing this using only one sandwich plate or is there any points on the block i can use.Has anyone
done this combination before?any help would be great.
if you are going to use a cooler, just use the sandwich plate
Are there two take off's aswell as a inlet and outlet for the cooler?

Hi folks.
Looking for a bit of advice??
I am going to have to replace the front driver's side wheel bearing, due to the fact it is knackered, on my 00' plate IS200se and I'm looking for all advice and tips possible with regards to doing this.
Is it quite a straight forward job or are there any dangers I need to be aware of?? I'm hoping its not too difficult but if there is anyone out there who has encountered any problems can you let me know please??
I know I have to get the hub off the car, which seems quite straight forward enough, but then what do I need to do??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks folks.....
Hi there mate its noy straight forwards by any means you may need air tools to get the hub and
carrier off.You will need a press to get the bearing in and out the hub.sorry to put you on a downer
hope ive been of help to you :)

I think tte200 is on the right track there do you know if the alarm and immoblizer
are part of the same control unit?and dose the left and right indicators work as
normal when the fault isn't present. As for checking the horn relay press the horn
with ignition on and feel with your fingers if its moving inside and if it clicks.

The way this deal works is this:
You can get 0% (interest free) "buy now - pay later" credit for a period of 6 months. TDi are the company able to offer this facility. You then have the following options:
1. Pay it off without paying any interest.
2. Transfer the loan to another cheap rate.
3. Pay the balance off over a period of up to 36 months at a rate which is normal for credit cards and most other unsecured loans. You can pay it off at any time without penalty. For example if you paid it off 1 week after the 6 months it would cost you only 0.55%.
We also have a very professional fitting centre with dyno etc in Warrington if that is of any interest.
I hope that helps :)
Humm slowly buying one in my head.Whats the payments and how long for? :winky:

Im interested but money is tight any credit avalible? :D
-
That sounds like a good idea who's up for it and are we talking a full set or just volts, mpg, water temp.If there's enough interested ill put the question to them. :D
-
Well the latest is i emailed metal monkey to ask if they do one off's.They said yes and told me they looked on the net at pictures and think approx £15.00 for the volts, mpg, water temp and £85.00 for a full set of dials. So ill take the out at weekend and hopefully send them on monday.
