  1. Get a Faraday box rather than a Faraday pouch. The pouch is much more fragile and loses effectiveness over time. The box is much more robust.
  2. I have got into the habit of turning the key off whenever I lock the car. I also keep the key in a Faraday box at home - in case I have failed to turn the key off, plus it is convenient to know where my keys are. A Faraday box is much more robust than a Faraday pouch, which wears out with frequent use.
  3. Picking up my second key on Friday. "Only" six months after delivery of the car.
  4. It is important not to stand too close to the car, because the safety cut out will operate to save your chin or your nose. I had a lot of trouble with it at first until I found the right distance, and now it works every time. I kick from side to side.
  5. Since I installed the Link + app, every time I start up the 450h+ I get a screen which requires me to accept or reject Toyota's data policies. I cannot use the monitor until I have chosen one or the other. The software seems unable to remember my choices.
  6. My Faraday pouch only lasted a few months. I have replaced it with a Faraday box, which is much more robust. It is also a tidy place to keep the car key. I also turn the key off when I put it in the box. No harm in belt and braces, and it save battery life.
