  1. I wonder where Andrew warms his hands if he washes his car in this weather?
  2. Try soap(car shampoo) and water a few times, then lower the windows and repeat.
  3. From watching a few security videos of RX thefts,it sounds more like an attempt at stealing your car.
  4. It could be dried salt/grit from roadspray.Wash and rinse your windows a few times and hope you haven't scratched the glass.
  5. Third time lucky https://youtu.be/AidAXgq9dWc
  6. That hasn,t worked. Go to tik tok and search for,"trunk monkey" and 5th thumbnail is save or protect your car. Others are good too
  7. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYec9R6 IMG_5684.MOV This should sort them out.. SORRY LINKS WON'T WORK see next post
  8. The app does say it is not an accurate tool and has a calibration option. I don't have a calibrated dB meter to set it accurately and was only trying it out of interest. I will try it on a stretch of concrete motorway next time I have the misfortune to drive on one.
  9. I downloaded Soundmeter HQ Pro (first free and advert free I came across). On an average quality dual carriageway at 70..75 mph I was getting a dB reading of 67 ,compared to the website figure of about 65. On getting home and parking in the carport,I turned up the volume on the ML and got as high as 86 not full volume but becoming uncomfortable.
  10. Tha nk you all for that. I'll get a decibel app and report back. David.
  11. Interesting.Does the site list other Lexus models? I would be curious to see my RC figures.
  12. Well put. Q. How can you tell if a politician is lying? A. His/her lips are moving.
  13. Understood. Thinking about it,the AAWireless dongle works over wi fi,so my comments are irrelevant anyway. Does that mean that 24 bit is only used electronically, rather than on a physical medium like a cd?
  14. John,I'm by no means an expert on the workings of hi fi or music or indeed any technology but the very vast majority of music on my phone is 808 kbps 16 bit flac (and one album at 24 bit) and it all works well on my ML. I play it on Android Auto through an AAWireless dongle. It connects to the phone as soon as I start the car. The 24 bit album seems to be about 10 times the number of GB as a 16 bit flac...I couldn't burn it onto a CDR..I guess because there are too many GB.
  15. ..and the Government taking lots of tax...
  16. I'm repeating myself from a previous post, but I remember a Mercedes salesman telling me that Audi's were known as ar5eholes.. everybody's got one.
  17. Film clip reminds me....... Years and years ago ,a guy I used to work with had a white Astra which had headlamp washers. One of them, the nearside, got damaged ,but still pumped water.I don't remember whether or not he had aimed the jet,but when he operated the washers, the jet shot out and squirted anybody on the pavement.None of them figured out where it came from..how we laughed.Neither of us have grown up much since even though it was 30 years ago.
  18. Probably a remote control for trick suspension...every pimpmobile should have one.
  19. Interesting to see that the rear spoiler can be removed. That should halve the fuel consumption.
  20. Who was shaking?..you/the car/or both? I seem to remember mentioning an MR2 roadster some time ago.We had one for a few years ,handled well but not particularly fast.It handled better with the hardtop on in the winter. It had really poor alloy wheels....they kept corroding but Toyota replaced them under warranty, probably about 7 times
  21. Depending on where your usb socket is,you might have some dust/fluff in it.
  22. I briefly had a Nissan 300ZX turbo with a targa roof as a company car back in the late 1980's.It was very fast,in a straight line but was hopeless on corners and didn't feel at all rigid.I think the guy who had it before me crashed it or hit a kerb very hard. I persuaded my boss to get rid of it and replaced it with a BMW 325.It again was rapid in a straight line but was (slightly) more controllable in corners. Back to the point..my RC seats are very comfortable..the best I've had, just a slight bit better than my wife's old Mazda CX7.
