  1. Do you mean the type of people who hire stretched limousines?
  2. That just goes to prove money doesn't buy you taste. The thing is like a rat with gold teeth.
  3. More like Bob the Builder. ...and you are absolutely right about the market research team.
  4. They're welcome to it.If I wanted to drive a van all day ,out of choice,I'd get a job with the gas board and get paid for it.Otherwise, I'll waft around in a good looking car.
  5. Isn't it hideous . I don't know about "executive transport"--it looks more like a builders van that has picked up some tinfoil debris on the motorway. All it needs is about 4 weeks worth of copies of The Sun and other assorted rubbish on the dashboard. Should have been put down at birth. How can a company produce that and at the same time the LC?
  6. My ownership experience has been good both with purchase(Guildford) a year ago and sevice(Hedge End) a few weeks ago. For the service,I phoned Guildford, Swindon and Hedge End.Costs all the same, but Hedge End did LOC discount and sounded much more alert and switched on, so I used them. My nearest dealer, Reading, couldn't be bothered to answer the phone.... although their body shop Jemca Bracknell were excellent.
  7. Try Autoglym Vinyl & Rubbercare. It completely concealed a surface scratch on the top of my dashboard that I managed to create myself when fitting my dashcam.
  8. That probably insulates you from electric shocks.
  9. There were record players available for cars, back in the 1960's.A bit before my (driving) time.I do remember seeing one when I was a school kid, starting to grow out of Dinky cars and terrorising the neighbourhood with my pedal car.
  10. The Kama Sutra also gives some useful positions. It may also help you get into a position to access your fuse box.
  11. It proves BMWs depreciate more than Lexus.Having had the "pleasure"of running a 430d for a month this time last year, whilst my car was being repaired,I can see why.The quality, finish and refinement were very poor. The only positive was it was fast.
  12. I'd still take the bus..no matter what it costs.
  13. Alarms can be activated by the smallest thing-even down to a small spider or a ladybird.
  14. Renato, the only concern I would have with Conti 7 would be noise.Apparantly the Noise ratings on tyres are external/drive by readings.I would only be concerned with internal noise within the cabin. As I've got quite a few months before mine need changing,I can do some more research and,who knows if more types of tyres become available in the correct size.
  15. I've not heard the standard/Pioneer stereo ,but have the ML system in my RC and confirm it is absolutely superb. I don't know what your budget is,but you should try to get the facelifted version--very late 2019 onwards. That will have Android Auto and Apple whatever. As for wrapping,I would have thought you should be asking "Wrapper".
  16. It is probably iron/steel filings from the brakes landing hot from friction on the wheel, sticking to the metal (or it's lacquered surface) and then oxidising/rusting.
  17. For those whose 3 year mapcare/updates have expired, there will be a Promotion on the Lexus website from 1/5/23 to 30/6/23.This will be for a 3 year mapcare and services bundle at a reduced cost.I have no further details of what is included or the cost.
  18. That one survived the hedge. I can't see clearly from photo (glare from the shiny LC)..which one is it..a3.0SC?
  19. ...a continuation of the family tree....that group, headed by Goodyear, also owns Avon tyres. However, they have just shut down the factory in Melksham. They were the biggest supplier of tyres for the classic racing scene.
  20. That was a better production than the carwow one. It was astonishing to hear they have to crash 30 cars to get through homologation just to be able to sell them. What is even more astonishing is they are only making 100 of them.I suppose the costs are partly amortised over the coupe, spider and future track version. Gordon certainly is a brilliant engineer and seems fairly understated.I did bump into him once( on foot) in a car park in Guildford a few years ago. He's very tall.
  21. With a "classic" Porsche I would go for a 993.It drives (almost) like a much more modern car yet remains old school, especially the feel and sound of the air-cooled engine. The older air cooled 911s are ,by comparison ,horrible to drive with a well deserved reputation of flying backwards through the nearest hedge.
