  1. When my car was last in for a service and MOT,the tracking was badly out and I needed 2 new rears. They had Bridgestones in stock but I wanted Continentals. They quoted within a pound or two of Blackcircles for the same tyre,so I used the dealer. Many of them will price match.
  2. My RC has a mechanical lock slot on the LHS of the area where the opener touchpad is.Ive never used it and it will likely be covered in cra, sorry, crud.
  3. Looks good from the photos. The annual battery health check(and almost certainly the annual service)might well be due very soon, looking at the mileage since last batt.health check. Might be worth checking the paperwork on this. From the advert,it seems to have come over from UK..try to find the UK registration no. and ask on here if anyone knows it.Could also check it's MOT history online and other searches may bring up further history.
  4. One more thing,Shahpor-if your car has the water and air con radiators to left and right of the front lower bumper, you need to keep them clear of leaves and general debris. My early/mk 1 car had a plastic grille with wide slats that didn't achieve much.I made a small attachment to fit on the end of my hoover pipe to keep the area clear as accumulated debris when wet corroded the radiators.O got a friendly mechanic at Porsche Reading to make up a metal mesh grille to prevent muck getting in there. The problem has been around for years, from the start of the Booster days, but never correct ed by Porsche. The cynic might think it sells more replacement radiators.
  5. Without wishing to dampen your enthusiasm and excitement, you will be repeating that many times....I did over my 7 years!
  6. Excellent choice Shahpor...or should I say Shahporsche. I bought one when they first came out in 2006/7 and kept it for about 7 years. The handling is unparalleled to this day.I hope you managed to get a day at their track at Silverstone as part of the deal.I will warn you though that the tyres, especially the rear ones, won't last long-through wear or punctures. If you use Porsche for servicing,do watch them as they are very keen on trying to do extra work..that was at Porsche Reading. If you want an Independent -Try Ray Northway at Beenham, just west of Reading.
  7. My phone has about 1725 music tracks...that takes up 40Gb.If you use a music app like Musicolet you won't be limited to 32Gb.
  8. Do Lexus still do the cage to prevent Cat thefts?
  9. The clicking sounds might be a failed fuel pump.
  10. ....and is Scotland not the ancestral home of Donald Trump? There's an Orangeman (and I don't mean an N Irish protestant).
  11. Why doesn't your wife carry one of the spare keys the car is supplied with?
  12. And one of her other jobs was at Halifax,if memory serves me well, did it's recklessness, and subsequent need to be bailed out by Lloyds ,nearly bankrupt the country. I also see that her gormless and clueless leader is now claiming his uncle's ship was torpedoed during the Falklands War.Apparantley the only ship to be torpedoed during the conflict was the Admiral Belgrano -- we can therefore assume his uncle was a traitor, just like him, intent on ruining the country...he certainly is the son of a toolmaker...
  13. How about trying a black Sharpie permanent marker on the offending stitching.Try an inconspicuous area first to see if the ink is really permanent.Or simply just ignore it,after all,if it was that offensive, you wouldn't have bought the car in the first place.
  14. Prior to my current car,we had an MX5....very late s.3 with the folding hardtop. It was one of the special editions, although I think there are more special editions than standard models. If you are over 5'10",you need to carefully consider whether you will fit in it comfortably. The s.4 version, seemed even more cramped in the cabin. They're great, fun cars, mine replaced a Porsche Cayman and it was about 85% of the fun for 50% of the cost to buy and run.
  15. If your lawn is of "regular"shape, consider a robotic mower.I'got 3/4 acre, but irregular shape with lots of obstructions so went for a sit on mower this time.It saves a 4 mile walk and job done in just over half the time.
