Stats on NX 450h+ Predicted EV Range
NiCoRe replied to Harrier Man's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Not yet to the 70 km threshold even on a very hot day (probably because I use EV on B roads as I tend to do very few city driving -

Tire pressure check this week-end after 1000 miles / circa 1 600 km No loss, still 2.6 bar (I do drive 60% on highways so I usually set the tire pressure a little higher and yes I know highway this is not the perfect playing field for a PHEV 😉 but I got 6.5 l / 100 km fuel usage with adaptative cruise control set at 85mph which is legal speed limit over here ) Run flats seem to hold pressure quite well (compare to my previous self sealing tires which required a .3 bar refill on the same interval) -

That is the way the game is played in the auto parts industry. I think in this case almost 3 times pricier (around 90 euros vs. 33 euros for the "adaptable" part) -
Second Key Fob NX 450H+
NiCoRe replied to Hayzee's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Well other "prestige" brands do the same or worst. BMW has been playing "option roulette" in France : you order a car with for example 360 cameras and you find out at delivery there is no 360 cameras fitted and you get a few hundred euros rebate (not exactly fair). MERCEDES has been playing "step by step build after delivery" forcing you to make a few trips to the dealership to get options you paid for weeks if not months after you get your car. In the non "prestige" Brand Peugeot had for a few months reverted to non LED tail lights without even bothering to tell their customers. Most of us have been waiting months to get our cars and the non communication is a dealership issue rather than manufacturer one as they have openly communicate on these matters. Must be blessed by the digital gods because app and infotainment are working fine since I got the car (and feedback from owners that got their car in 2022 or early 2023 Is that things have been pretty much solved (through recalls for some of them). Not feeling robbed or hyped, just got my hands on a great car and possibly one of the best PHEV offer in its segment -
Charging protection kit
NiCoRe replied to DouglasGB's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
French sales documentation states : " With the Lexus gloves and towel set, clean the charging cable when needed or dry it in case of rain and keep your hands clean when you plug the car in. The towel is used to clean and dry the charging cable and the gloves to protect your hands and handle the plug safely and in an hygienic way. The set avalaible for the NX450h+ is packed in a convenient bag" Mistery solved 🙂 -

Just like the car...in a few months.🙃 Got my car by the end of April and the dealership told me I should get it by the end of June. I took this piece of info with a grain of salt... Was lucky enough to have one key fob and one credit card key although -

yes 550 liters (VDA standard) - with the boot cover stored under the trunk floor. Not as roomy as my Passat Estate but it is the only Premium PHEV in its size segments that does have similar boot capacity is the DS 7. All other including the German trio and Volvo have between 100 l and 150 l less boot volume. -

Coyote - what's the point?

Thanks @Rabbers ! This was so obvious I did not pointed it out. My bad 😇 (the other workauround could be uisng google translate...) And for the record, there are (many) French people that do speak English (and are able to write in English too 🙃)...as many they do appreciate one tries to speak their native langage when visiting France (which is not that difficult with modern day digital tools). -

A key feature of Waze, often forgotten by "casual" users is road and POI editing through community driven features. And this no mess as the update process is nicely monitored . As a junior editor, you can only suggest modifications (in a limited number) and it has to be on roads you really drove on with Waze GPS active. They are reviewed by an area community manager who approves or block the edition. Approved editions give you points that improve your editor status and more editing abilities... For example, in my rural Normandy, we had a few problems that were solved through Waze editing : They decided out of the blue to give street names to the roads in our tiny village (less than 300 population) and numbers to the houses. With Waze edition system, it took less than 48 hours to see the updates in the app. Delivery trucks and friends can find their way (it took almost 2 years to have the update in Apple Plans and a shorter but still long time in Google Maps). The street that pass by my house is narrow and restricted to light vehicles traffic (except delivery). With the editing tools, I marked the road that way. Consequence, unless you choose an address on the street itself, it will not be used by the software to draw the path to your destination. We were also able to mark as a POI our lovely little church and the parking spaces around...usefull indeed. Last but not least, the driving time evaluation is pretty accurate as it is based on real time traffic data and your driving habits (when you drive regularly on the same roads) -

Thanks Ken for this advice They seem to be nicely made (they have a nice rubber seal inside) and I am a compulsive pressure checker (even with TPMS). I do check my tire pressure almost twice a month (don't ask me why...) so I do believe I would detect any corrosion way before it seizes the valve. I will keep my eyes peeled -

Just went through the one hour course "Lexus Electrified" that Lexus France "offers" to its business customers. Rather interesting for 1st time Toyota / Lexus hybrid drivers. They use and ODB device connected to a driving analysis software. You drive your own car on an open road circular trip for around fifteen minutes 15 minutes debrief / advices You repeat the trip putting in practice the advices 15 minutes final debrief + a few red tape stuff Pretty much a coaching session on the "pulse & glide". -
