  1. Mine could be on the same ship or on one of the ships due to arrive 8th July or 11th July. Any vessel on the link I provided whose last port was Livorno and agent is OSK is a Toyota carrier. Build complete on mine 4th June but the ship arriving 8th July left Japan on the 6th June so doubt it made that one. Yes, I could ask the dealer which it is on but he’s already told me they are hoping I can collect early August so it must be one of those 2. If the car arrives at the dealership early Aug I will collect it but late Aug I will wait until 1st Sept.
  2. I currently have a 2018 RX F Sport fitted with the premier pack which I believe was the former name for Takumi. I have an NX F Sport 450h on order (RX being P/x’d) and the 2 items that were 100% a must have on the NX for me were 360deg cameras and AVS, hence ordering the F Sport and not Takumi which doesn’t have AVS on the current NX, so that should tell you all you need to know. I wouldn’t be happy without AVS or the ability to switch to Sport+ when needed which also tightens up the steering s well as throttle response & suspension. I also find that the car is much less fidgety on country roads with AVS since I can set a custom mode which just stiffens the suspension.
  3. Strange, Viking Adventure currentlydue at Portbury 27th July according to this https://www.bristolport.co.uk/shipping/forward-movements
  4. Devils advocate post: Define “full load” The shown settings provide for up to 5 people which would normally include their luggage. Surely that would constitute the car having a “full load” I usually set to “what feels right” on the road (within reason) on my RX F Sport (20” wheels) which results in the normal pressure being set to 2.4bar for all eventualities. This is my compromise and there’s still 4mm of tread left on the tyres after 30,000 miles
  5. I’ve never had a problem with the 5mph increments, I just learnt how to drive the car knowing the setting was different. Maybe time to close this thread before it descends in to personal insults
  6. We had an alert saying “build complete” 14 days after it went into build stage and have heard nothing now for 3 weeks and although “My Lexus” says “left the factory” the flag is not showing that on both the app and on My Lexus. It seems to me that the progress updates are currently a bit hit & miss 🤔
  7. All the info you will need is within this thread, worth a read The other condition, in addition to delivery by 31st Dec 2022, was that order for the car must be placed by 31st March 2022 (originally by Dec’21)
  8. According to the “My Lexus” website ours, build complete 4th June, has left the factory. App hasn’t updated though so hoping that the “My Lexus” site is correct🤞
  9. Which no different to many of the green energy claims going which have been going around for the past few years and continue to do so. Example: A local Planning Committee approving various battery energy storage plants in rural locations because, in their eyes, they are supporting the use of green energy! A complete set of idiots who can't seem to grasp the real facts at all when they are laid out in front of them, particularly the very basic fact, that these battery energy storage units can't be green energy since they will be charged by power from fossil fuelled power stations! They have refused to answer questions about having a plan for the decommissioning and disposal of the battery components when they reach the end their useful life (it will be someone else's problem) and don't understand, or want to understand, how cobalt is mined. They listened intensely to the developers telling them how this is green energy and without these facilities we will all be cast in to darkness every winter and no doubt grasped all other offerings from the developers to make them so dismissive of the realities of what they have approved! Edit: apologies to the OP, just realised I’m so off topic🙄
  10. Ours went in to Build stage on 23rd May and we were notified that build was complete on 4th June. Haven’t heard anything since so it looks as though the car is stuck at the factory. 10days since build was complete and no notification that it has left the factory yet 😟 Dealer still estimating Aug delivery so I reckon I may as well push that in to Sept 🙄🤔
  11. IIRC these sales events are never model specific, they just state savings of up to £k. Although I must admit it is so long since I really looked at the blurb to see what the small print says, I usually just ditch the circular straight away without even glancing at it. Regarding the NX, maybe Lexus have realised that they can’t do anything to increase production if the bottleneck is parts shortages from 3rd parties so the only way they can reduce lead times is to “force” the market to reduce demand. Not entirely poor customer service as long as potential customers are aware of the conditions of purchase and those conditions are locked in at the point the order is placed
  12. @Sybaris keep in mind that discounts and deals will be model specific and some will be dependent on taking out PCP finance, although that shouldn’t be a concern because everyone has the right to cancel finance after 1 month for zero penalty.
  13. @Ken R @John Adams TBH guys I am not sure that they will agree to change it due to intermittent signal issues, they agreed to change mine since the signal strength needed for the mobile network that the Alfen charger uses is zero where we live. You can but try, but I imagine they may suggest waiting for a software update or something. It does sound as though the Alfen charger, only using 2g, is a little outdated when it comes to connectivity of mobile signals
  14. The engineer told me that they had always been informed that it was a roaming GSM card but they told him something different on the phone today. I was able to show him that if it was a roaming gsm card in it then it should connect to EE because that’s the only signal we can get and my phone had a 4 bar signal strength on it. BTW, he also says that the “white light scenario” is a myth and I shouldn’t have been told that one should show when on standby, even though it is in the handbook.
  15. BG arrived today and resolved my issue of the charger continuously showing on the app as “offline.” It was a signal issue and the engineer told me that the charger supplied will only work on the Hive app if there is a strong signal present and that the charger has a fixed mobile provider card and not a roaming GSM card like smart meters. He called back to the office and was told that the fact we live in an area devoid of a Vodafone and O2 signals should have been spotted by the survey team before the charger was installed and that this particular charger, although being the specified one for their partners (incl Lexus) should not have been installed. He was instructed to change it for the latest Easee WiFi charger FOC. Luckily he had one on the van. This charger is a much smaller than the Alfen taken out and it connected to Hive instantly through our home WiFi. - Result! - now just need that ship to speed up a bit whilst crossing the oceans.
  16. Contrary to the previous 3-4 posts above, our dealership has kept us informed with telephone calls and/or emails every 2-3 weeks since ordering at the end of Jan, the latest being at 9.15 this morning to inform us that our NX has now left the factory. The same info appeared on the app 90mins later. @KoeNX I am surprised at Lexus Cambridge since they are the same dealership, Steven Eagell Group, as our dealership in Ipswich who have been superb both on this occasion and previously when we purchased the RX. Dealing with them, in sales, after sales and servicing, has been a joy compared with the disinterested muppets we had previously experienced over 9 years with Land Rover. BTW we’ve never been asked to complete a survey or provide a rating for a sales person since switching to Lexus 4.5 years ago. Maybe your sales person was already under scrutiny.
  17. I use a guy who has done 3 cars for me in the past. Too far from you unfortunately (Suffolk) but, if you do go this route, make sure you use one who is accredited by a reputable manufacturer. The guy that will be doing mine only now uses Gtechniq products, they have been improved considerably over the past 4 years, although the Kamikaze products he used on my RX have lived up to their reputation.
  18. Not sure about waxing but mine will be going for detailing and ceramic coating the day after delivery. Not everybody’s cup of tea but my current RX still glistens and is as easy to clean as when it was first treated to the same 4.5 years ago.
  19. Thanks guys for posting your experiences, I am noting many of the comments down in readiness for being given a load of bullshine during the engineer’s return visit next week
  20. @John AdamsInteresting, they asked me if we are in a poor signal area, which we are although EE signal is fine. They said that the card in the charger should continually roam for the best signal and that they can’t see our charger on their system which is why they are sending out an engineer to investigate. Do you have a white standby light showing on the charger. We don’t and others have mentioned that they don’t but BG told me on the phone that a standby white light should always be visible to show that the unit is connected to power. we’ve done all sorts of tests remotely so we’ll see if the engineer can sort it when he comes on Tuesday next week
  21. To give an example, 2 weeks ago I was visited by local plod who informed me that a complaint had been made that I had caused £800 of damage to a car in a car park by repeatedly opening my door into theirs. I recalled a situation where I parked in an empty part of this car park only to return to the car with another car parked so close to me that I struggled to get in my car. At no point did my car door touch theirs. I was able to download footage from my dashcam which showed the other car parking up next to me in an empty car park very closely, my dashcam records movement when the ignition is off. The police concluded that the other party was trying it on and had parked so close with the intent of trying to make a claim. Only you can decide if you think you can benefit from one but there are plenty of scammers out there
  22. Engineer coming back to ours next week. No big issue yet, since the car has only just gone in to build stage, but it constantly shows as offline and no white standby light visible. Just want it resolving before the car is due
  23. Yes, it’s only a portal where all details and documents of your purchase is kept. Helps them with compliance of regulations (mainly finance ones) and helps you easily find them if you need to at anytime in the future.
  24. Can you get traffic news TP/TA to work on DAB? Some cars/manufacturers allow FM traffic news to interrupt DAB radio when selected like it does when using USB but Lexus confirmed 4 years ago that our 2018 RX does not have the facility for FM traffic news to interrupt the radio when DAB is selected
