Before the RX I had a RR Sport. My opinion on the 2 is that I’d take the RX every day. TBH don’t get why you think the RX is a slouch, it sounds more like you are trying hard to justify not changing but only you can make the decision.

So, to add balance,I hate it. I turned it off after 2 weeks hence it has been turned off for the past 4.5 years😉 Just my opinion, don’t shoot me!

I disagree, the F Sport with AVS is much more capable on the bendy country roads that I ever imagined. Bearing in mind that my other car is a Lotus Evora, whilst clearly much more ideally suited to such driving, the RX certainly does not disappoint for this type of vehicle.

We ordered 10 days after you so this is making me feel optimistic that we may be able to collect 1st Aug as indicated by our dealer Monday last week.

Yes, GAP insurance tops up the normal insurance payout to enable you to buy a new car of similar make, model & spec if you have replacement vehicle GAP insurance. Alternatively, if you select the cheaper “back to invoice” option the GAP payout is the difference between the insurance co payout and what the original purchase price was of the car, inclusive of any extras

From memory she notified the GAP insurer, at the same time as her insurance company, who advised her as to the process & paperwork required to be able to make a claim on the GAP insurance. To claim on GAP insurance you need to have your insurer to declare the vehicle a total write off so she was advised to wait for the loss adjuster to provide a market value, which would be no where near the market value, and then reject it advising them that your GAP insurer will be taking over the claim handling on her behalf. It all ran smoothly from there with everything sorted iirc within 2-3 weeks of receiving the first offer.

I don’t think my daughter would agree with you after her 3 year old car was written off by someone who decided that a give way sign didn’t apply to them. Due to GAP insurance she was able to get a NEW replacement car without having to go through the hassle of trying to get an insurance company to offer a market price just to put her back in to the same position as at the time of the write off, i.e. a replacement car of similar spec, age etc.

I don’t think the RX will disappoint you, I find it takes off pretty well in sport+ mode & considering my other car is a Lotus Evora (same basic engine but supercharged) I an happy with the pace of the RX. Just test drive one then you’ll know if it suits your requirements or not.

I told my dealer that I would arrange GAP insurance myself through ALA as I always do. As part of the final negotiations re discounts etc they asked to see the quote I was getting and then agreed to match it cost wise, which was a substantial discount on what they originally quoted, but with better terms including full vehicle replacement cover for 4 years rather than return to invoice

Absolutely love it. Never looks grubby and, in my opinion, lifts the cabin ambiance. I’ve ordered the red interior again on my soon to be delivered NX F Sport. I will admit though to being a hater of black interiors

Dealer told me last week he was hoping to receive it before the end July for delivery 1st week of Aug so looks as though he was pretty much spot on. Anybody you can ask?

Went into build stage 24th May, build complete 4th June and left the factory 6th June. F Sport Premium pack with sunroof in sonic titanium with red interior. IIRC you was only a day or 2 behind me.

Mine was ordered 31st Jan & dealer telling me the same, expected with them 1st week of Aug so at least a level of consistency. Hoping mine arrives in U.K. before 24th July though since that date is cutting it fine for a Aug week 1 delivery to dealers. Also no OS-K agent vessels showing as due at Portbury between 21st July & 29th July. Look on here for agent OS-K, route Livorno-Zeebruge (arriving from, departing to)

Depends on speed I guess but I regularly manage 2 miles in 30mph zones

My average mph over 33k miles of mixed driving is 35.7mpg. Around 37mpg during the summer and 33-34 winter time with an absolute best of 43.5mpg (all as per Fuelly logs) As mentioned above plenty have shared their data. Unfortunately only you can make the decision.

That’s what BG fitted for me under the foc Lexus offer after deciding that the normally supplied Alfen one shouldn’t be fitted at our address since we have almost zero mobile phone signal. The Easee charger connects to Hive via the Internet, just waiting for my car now to try it out!

David, if you want to turn it off you can do so but it will disable the auto operation of the cameras (except reversing). This will only be an issue if you use the cameras for parking adjacent to a kerb, for instance, or if you use the junction view cameras, in which case you will have to manually turn on the 360 cameras using the switch on the lower right of the dash. Disabling the auto operation is no good for me since I need the junction view facility for exiting our driveway & I can’t be bothered with keep turning the 360 cameras on everytime I want to exit the drive. Anyhow, to disable the camera coming on when coming to a near stop just turn off the auto operation. You will see an icon labelled “auto” on the lower right of the screen when the cameras come on, in anything other than reverse. Move the cursor over it & press. To turn the cameras on you will now have to switch them on manually. Reselecting “auto” will bring back the auto operation again. Hope this all makes sense?

Just had my fortnightly update from my dealers, some are good at communicating 🙄 They are hoping our 450h+ will be with them at the end of the month so we should be able to collect it during 1st week of August. Wife took the call so didn’t ask which ship it is on. Will have to be one of the two arriving Portbury 8th July & 11th July if it has any chance of being with the dealer at the end of the month.

Do you mean the display from the 360deg cameras? If so I think the image is displayed if you have the junction view setting enabled. I’m pretty sure that this can be turned off by an icon on the screen when in camera mode since I recall mine not working at some point in the past when I inadvertently changed the setting. If you confirm this is the case I’ll take a look at mine later
