  1. Hmm maybe it’s a phased rollout of the new software? To be fair, the dealer didn’t specify that my car will get the CarPlay update when it went in for the Tracker Installation and the Display Audio Programming Recall.
  2. Yeah I very rarely collapse the CarPlay menu (only when I need to check my tyre pressures) so you’re not really missing out on AA.
  3. Apologies I've not been active on the forums. I recently visited my local Lexus dealership for the free tracker installation and the ZGG78 Display Audio Reprogramming Recall and noticed that I received the CarPlay update. The head unit is version 2230 which is the newest version I've seen anywhere online. Below are the pictures of the version and CarPlay update. Not sure if the CarPlay update was part of the recall or the dealership loaded the supposed OTA update into the car but thankful to receive it anyway.
  4. Well explained Stephen. It works really well on my drive back from the dealership. Just need to get over the weird feeling of the car choosing to brake just before I hit the brakes. Looking forward to using the feature more over time.
  5. Hi all, I had my vehicle in at Lexus Edinburgh for an unrelated issue (squeaky boot partition) and the Service Tech performed the OTA update on the car. I assume they have a local version in house and installed it that way. What I noticed from the update is a new feature called Proactive Driving Assist (PDA). This is disabled by default and can be found inside the shortcut section in the main screen (the section where you can enable/disable other Driving Assistance Settings). The feature is similar to enabling Adaptive Cruise Control with LTA but at a less intrusive manner. For instance, if the car feels you are getting too close to the car ahead, it will gradually apply the brakes to bring you back to a safe distance. It works great in most circumstances, although it struggles when there is parked cars on the side of the road (similar as to having ACC on). I found this video in the Lexus YT channel and an article by JD Power which explains it in greater detail. https://www.jdpower.com/cars/shopping-guides/what-is-proactive-driving-assist-in-a-lexus-or-toyota#:~:text=Proactive Driving Assist uses the, keep the vehicle under control. There are no other CarPlay/Android Auto update as mentioned by LSFT in Youtube offered OTA or through the service update. I hope this is helpful!
