  1. I knew it would be something that I should have seen! Thanks.
  2. Very interesting, thanks. Is there any relevance to some of the models on page 4 being in red (especially as one of them is the one I've ordered 😁)?
  3. Ouch! That's exactly the exterior/interior combination I have on order so I hope that's not typical. Have you returned it or decided to keep it?
  4. It seems like September (or earlier) is more than likely for you I would think. I certainly hope so, as I ordered January 24th and am hoping for November (or, failing that, before Christmas). Fingers crossed for you!
  5. Congratulations Ivan, looks great. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts when you've lived with it for a while.
  6. Interesting. Thinking about it, I guess most other manufacturers are in the same boat so there's not much to be gained by cancelling.
  7. Blimey, that's rough! I wonder if there might be a load of cancelled orders floating around in the not too distant future as people bail out 🤨
  8. Looking at the projected and actual delivery dates in this thread that seems to have consistently been the case. My 350h ordered 24th January has a last delivery update of mid-October delivery (which seems quite consistent with your dates).
  9. Congratulations. I ought to be jealous but every person that gets their car gives me hope I'll get mine one day 😁
  10. Yikes! Mine was ordered second half of January and I've been told October delivery. Based on your timescale, maybe I'll get it as a Christmas present 😀
  11. Hey. Lexus made the world's first time travelling car. It was only a matter of time (pun intended!).
  12. I won't have it if my NX is ever delivered 😁 but I always assumed that it was designed to help if you have people or luggage in the back which may make it difficult to see out of the rear view mirror (or as a gadget for people that like that kind of thing).
  13. Probably not quite the worst I've had. When I was looking for my last car I thought I'd try a Jaguar. I phoned the local dealership about a test drive and was told, rather stroppily, that I needed to book it via the website. So I did. When I turned up at the appointed time, the named salesman for my appointment wasn't available, so I had to wait about 20 minutes for him. When he deigned to see me, it turned out to be a guy who I could clearly see in the showroom chatting with his mates all the time I was waiting. Needless to say, a car of the exact type I wanted to drive wasn't available (I mean, I'd only booked it two weeks in advance!), but, no problem, a similar one was available. It was two years old and I did feel bad about taking it away from the homeless guy that had obviously been living in it for the last year; it was filthy and absolutely stank. No Jaguars for me, ever. Their customer relations department phoned me a few days later to ask how my test drive was. It was difficult to keep a straight face!
  14. Funnily enough, I have the exact opposite experience. I have had five Mercedes E Class on the trot, via PCPs for 3-4 years each time. All from the same Mercedes dealer. Knowing that lead times were long and that my current PCP expires in September, I popped into the Mercedes dealer in January and was told, basically, to sod off and not come back till July. Given that there would be no way of getting a car by September in that scenario I was forced to look elsewhere.
  15. Same reason I didn't go for the panoramic sunroof. Everybody has needs, wants and a budget. I hope we all get a car that we love!
  16. Very, very nice. The same colour I've ordered I think (Terrane Khaki?) and I love the way it looks different in different lights. Same spec as mine too, except I didn't for the panoramic sunroof. Congratulations!
  17. We seem to have a lot of people taking delivery recently. Congratulations, and good to see 😁 Just under seven months? Seems like an improvement on what we've been hearing and hopefully a good sign for those of us still waiting.
  18. Nice! I'll look forward to the pictures. I think you specified the same exterior colour as me.
  19. Congratulations! Maybe some hope for those of us still waiting, although it seems 450s are being delivered more quickly. Looking forward to some more photos and your thoughts when you can.
  20. Congratulations! Do you have a due date?
  21. Don't forget that those of us swapping future delivery dates don't really know how accurate they are. It seems frustrating to me that dealers (and maybe Lexus themselves) don't seem to be able to give accurate delivery date estimates. Or maybe they are accurate, in which case it's difficult to see why people are getting such widely disparate timescales. I guess only time will tell.
  22. Good idea. I'll put it next to my box marked "pieces of string too short to be worth keeping". 😁
  23. My moan for the day is about my memory Last week, I was tidying up the garage and came across a plastic device, looking like a fuel filler cap. No idea what it was, I thought probably a piece of packaging from a washing machine, so I threw it away. Fast forward to yesterday, where I was cleaning the oven (my wife insists I do this at least once a decade, whether it needs it or not!) and I wanted to take the oven lamp cover off to clean around it. Could I budge it? No, of course not. Resorted to Google and found a recommendation for a cheap tool that helps remove stuck oven lamp covers. It is, of course, the thing that I threw away last week. Once I saw it online I even remembered buying it for exactly the same reason. It's only a few pounds thankfully. I'll think of it as an amnesia tax 😀😄
