  1. Picked up my second fob on the 24th July - 6 months to the day after taking delivery of the car. I got a letter from Lexus asking me to book an appointment with my local dealer (Birmingham) and the appointment itself took 10-15 minutes.
  2. Nice. Very pleased that you (finally) will get it soon!
  3. Not Lexus, but I was once told by the Virgin Complaints Department that they "do not deal through the medium of voice" (by email, obviously)! Needless to say, I no longer have any Virgin products or services.
  4. I have had a 350h with the Dark Rose interior colour for just over three months now and I can tell you that the colour looks much more like the pictures on the site than the other pictures you posted (they look almost pink to me and I can assure you that that isn't what I see in real life).
  5. Horses for courses. I have manual seats as the electric seats weren't bundled with the Lexus Link Pro at the time I ordered. Adding the electric seats would have cost me a lot more - as I am the only person who drives the car I can just set the seats to my preferred position and forget about them. Totally agree that electric seats are better and, even, a must have if you're going to be adjusting them often for some reason, but for my particular use case it's just not an issue and it was good to have the option to not have them to save some money.
  6. It is a weird implementation of a brake hold function. Unless I'm missing something, it seems to be an entirely unnnecessary step to turn it on via the button. In my Mercedes E-Class you just pressed and briefly held the brake pedal to engage the hold function, which seemed much easier and more intuitive to me.
  7. I don't know the answer, but is that way of counting "extras" the industry standard, or just a Lexus thing? Either way, it shows that everybody should carefully check the specifications of any car you're looking to buy - personally, I find it hard to believe that anybody spending c. £50,000 on a car wouldn't do that.
  8. Congratulations. Is "steady drizzle" the exterior colour? 😉 (exclusive colour to Lexus Manchester).
  9. Does the 450 have the right/left buttons on the bottom of the right hand steering wheel controls? I don't use a USB stick but that scrolls through the tracks when I play music through an attached phone.
  10. Many thanks - I'll have a play around with it taking your advice into account.
  11. I'll look at that, but I'm pretty sure that the android auto connection is set to off and, in any case, android auto won't connect wirelessly so it can't be auto connecting.
  12. Thanks Tony I do occasionally use Android Auto, so this will be useful. My question here though was not through Android Auto though, simply through the car's bluetooth connection.
  13. Has anybody managed to sync their contacts to the car (Android phone, connected via Bluetooth)? Every time I try I get a message on the car screen saying "Please operate your phone to sync contacts". No idea what that means! Any tips?
  14. | Same colour for me too (not a Takumi though, just a humble Premium with Lexus Link Pro). Only had it for just under two months, but had a lot of compliments on the colour and really love the way it can look very different in different lighting conditions. I agree, Nori Green Pearl sounds so much better than Terrane Khaki!
  15. Same for me - AA via Money Supermarket.
  16. Terrane Khaki is, of course, the best colour to have! That hazel colour looks great to me, unfortunately it wasn't available for the grade I ordered so I went for the dark rose interior. I'm happy with that - after many years with black interiors it makes a nice change.
  17. What I went for as well. I really like it.
  18. Funny how this forum has become a gathering of boat spotters!
  19. I'm not sure it works that way. When I ordered my NX it was possible to specify the Lexus Link Pro without having to bundle it with the electrically adjustable seats. This configuration became unavailable very soon after I ordered and yet my car was delivered as originally specced, i.e. I don't think that model updates are retrospectively applied to already ordered cars.
  20. I must admit that I wavered at various points in my wait (ordered 24th January 2022, took delivery 24th January 2023) but I am now glad that I waited - it is a lovely car both to drive and in terms of comfort, economy and technology (IMHO). Having said that, I'm sure that some of the competitors are equally good. Personally, I felt that the car and the price I was getting the car for made it worth the wait; I'd understand if other people's circumstances led them to the opposite conclusion though.
  21. Definitely poor journey logging. Yesterday, I drove about 40 miles to a place called Penkridge in Staffordshire, parked briefly in the centre to buy something and then drove a few hundred yards to the cemetary we had come to visit. We then drove the 40 miles home. The only journey logged on the Lexus Link app is the few hundred yards from the centre to the cemetary. Nothing at all on the journey there or the journey back! And yet it knew the location of the car was our home later that evening - presumably it thought we'd had it towed home 🙄 The climate control from the app seems to work fine for me, so that's nice, but other than that the app is almost entirely useless.
  22. I think that one is explained in the Northside Lexus video that's out there. If you've opened the back door prior to driving off it warns you to check the back seat when you park in case you put anything in there. If that's what you mean? You can turn it off in the settings.
  23. It does help, thanks. I don't have it 🙄
