  1. I have an NX 350h with 10.5k miles on the clock. I travelled 460 miles to Scotland last week and 80 miles into the journey noticed a nail in my tyre As it is near the edge I realise it can’t be repaired. (Interestingly Bridgestone are one of the few tyre manufacturers that allow repairs by Bridgestone authorised repairers - but you still have to follow the rules about areas that can be repaired - and mine doesn’t qualify). I drove the remaining 380 miles with no issue as there was no loss of pressure. I then ordered a replacement. There was a 4 day lead time for most fitters and most quoted over £ 290. Asda tyres were the cheapest I found and they quoted £ 284 fully fitted. I have no qualms about paying out the money as it is a safety issue, but I am a bit horrified by the cost. I knew I could save over £100 per tyre by going to non- run flats but I do like the ability to drive after a puncture rather than carry a space saver or a compressor + goo.
  2. I will be interested in the auto-dimming digital rear mirror as I use it during the day but have to revert to the glass mirror at night. It would be nice if the auto-dimming mirror was able to be retro-fitted.
  3. Have you checked the child lock switch on the door edge?
  4. I only have the dimming when wearing polarised glasses on the HUD. Not the main display.
  5. No problem with fading and I have done 10k miles, a lot of it in sun. I do agree with HMT that polarised Sunglasses make it appear faded.
  6. I had same message after recall work as well. Ignored it and not seen again.
  7. I can’t help with your problem Phillip but I am on 16.3 for my iphone and iPad and my iPad login is working fine so I don't think it is a universal problem for all users. Hope you get it sorted soon.
  8. Best colour by far Simon! 😬 Congratulations 👏
  9. My right windscreen washer stopped working a few months ago. Took it to the dealer and they said that the Y-shaped splitter valve had failed. They ordered the part and it took 10 minutes to fit. Shame that the two visits meant over 100 miles of travel for me to and from the dealer.
  10. Same here this morning as it was -5 overnight. Kept my fingers over the drivers door pad for a minute and then it opened normally.🤗
  11. Mine was just adjusted with no new parts and has worked perfectly every time since…. And I have filled up quite a lot with a 1000 mile trip and general running around. 🤞
  12. See my post of 17 May above… sounds like my issue.
  13. I am confused. My service department said that they adjusted the mechanism, and that they had done a few of these. Yet some of you need a new mechanism🤔 I will call the dealer to see if I can get an answer.
  14. Lane Trace Assist, John.
  15. Strange that they said they simply adjusted mine….. no mention of replacing anything.🤔
  16. Had my fuel cap adjusted yesterday when it went in for LTA recall. They said it is an easy adjustment and that several people had complained about it. The problem was intermittent. I had my wife put her fingernails under the fuel flap edge while I pressed the button. Apparently, there is a little hatch in the boot liner that gives access to release the flap manually.
  17. I use the Auto High Beam and have no concern Dave because the change in beam is not an instant on/off flash type transition. It is more like a fluid transition gradually changing the shape of the area lit up.
  18. Alex, I stopped using it on my 2020 UX for the same reason of being constantly flashed. After using the 2022 NX version on many occasions I am really impressed and have only been flashed once. I think the latest version is a huge step forward in technology.
  19. When selecting a title name please include a reference to the subject…. E.g. High Beam Question. That way we can be selective in which posts are relevant. Thanks.
  20. Can’t say I agree in relation this model. My Takumi NX was £ 51,800 when I bought it for Feb 2022 delivery. RRP now is £ 57,810 and I bet they haven’t ironed out all the problems….
  21. Just coming up to 8k miles since 4 Feb and I think the fuel flap release issue is due to grit being driven into the cavity by motorway spray etc. gentle hose of the cavity solved it for a while but last fill I had to prise my fingers under the flap…
  22. Obviously a design fault then.☹️ I wasn’t aware of a release in the boot so I will look into that.
  23. Stuart Was it the remote release that failed or the actual filler cap? I had a worrying time at the petrol station when it wouldn’t release when I pressed the button. At the 4th attempt with me pressing and pulling the flap and my wife pressing the button it did release. I cleaned the grit out of the hinge and it seems to have been Ok since.nWas going to mention it on frost service.
  24. I am 99% certain it doesn’t. No SD card, no red button to press to save files and the lens is no good to record when something is very close to the rear of the car and fills the screen.
