I have a 2022 NX 350h and have just driven to Dorset today and all the towns and villages adjacent to our position were on the map. Eg We were on the A357 and I could see Sturminster Newton was showing to my right as we were driving north…..

I think there are a couple of BMW and VW cars that use the same tyre but stupid of Lexus in my view to not go with a mainstream readily available tyre.

I will need two in a few months and at the moment none of the major retailers have any of the 20 inch Bridgestone Run Flats.🤬

I take the lower pedal off to avoid denting the back of the seats and have put cardboard down before now.

We have nesting seagulls nearby and they regularly hit the car. I put kitchen towel over the poo and spray the towel with water from a plant sprayer. After 10 - 15 minutes the poo just wipes off leaving no trace. Better than keep washing the car.

Plus Fuel Filler Cover that wouldn’t open….

Len, the 12v battery doesn’t start the ICE. It is simply there to power the electrics. The Hybrid battery is used to crank the engine.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I would ask your dealer. I would have thought that Lexus should be able to locate it. Good Luck.

I went to the Lexus terms and conditions for their 10 Year Warranty, validated by annual service. Shockingly, the Multimedia screen and buttons are excluded from the warranty - see attached extract. Hopefully this only applies to physical failing of the screen and that it would still be covered if there was an inherent software problem.🤞🤔 I hope to never find out1

I have done over 25k miles on my 20 inch Bridgestones and they still have lots of tread.

I seem to recall that on the US owners forum someone said that testing the battery will not give a valid reading unless it is completely free of all leads, i.e. bare terminals only. I don’t want to risk losing settings so have never isolated mine. I called the AA twice last year and Lexus had it for testing twice. The second time, they said everything is fine but had found a parasitic drain from the dash cam that they fitted. Now corrected, they said. I now leave the car in ready mode when loading it with luggage or washing it. I also carry an emergency booster in the actual car rather than in the boot - the boot doesn’t unlock electrically if the battery fails. Not ideal on a £50k+ car but that’s where we are.🤬

My Lexus dealer removed my NX from Lexus Link+. I then added the car and re-registered my profile on the app and linked the keys to my profile. Everything now works as before - and amazingly all my Satnav favourites and recent journeys reappeared in Navigation.

Today’s update Andy…. Car Location still working. Trip recording still not working. Connected services had reverted to off agin so I had to re-enable them and agree to terms & conditions again.😡 I assume that when I go out to the car tomorrow they will have turned off again!🤬 Takumi craftsmanship my A*rse!

Just been out to the car. Went to Settings, Info and Security and noticed that all connected services are disabled. Had to enable them and agree to terms & conditions etc to restore them. Location of Car now shows up in Lexus Link+ and I expect my trips will now be recorded. Just need my traffic info to show on navigation screen now.😡

I also note that I have lost the traffic flow information on the Satnav Map. Pre update as soon as I turned the car on I could see which roads were congested around me - even down to which side of the carriageway was slow (orange) or standstill (red). That has disappeared. In addition, Does anyone know what this symbol is? - The one with two arrows and a line through it? Maybe that is sating that traffic status doesn’t work? I have searched the manual and can’t find an answer.

I would keep the booster in the main cabin so that if the battery is flat you have easy access to it. Otherwise you would have to put the rear seats down to try and access the boot.

Knowing Lexus’s history with software, nothing could surprise me anymore…..

Not sure how I can lose dozens of favourites and recent trips and you keep yours Alex!😡🤔

Just installed mine. Took just over 20 minutes to download and install. Navigation screen looks like there is more detailed info on it. Unfortunately though, I have lost all my Navigation Favourites and recent trips. Even have to reset Home.

Paid this twice already but did know it was coming😢😢 Just avoided it on my previous car - UX. Knew the NX would push me over the threshold but rationalise it as a cost of purchase. Doesn’t make paying it any easier though!🤬

Yes, Colin, I do have a trickle charger I used to use for my motorcycle batteries on the basis that they were ridden infrequently. I wouldn’t expect to have to use it on a £50k+ car that is driven over 10k miles a year… In any case, my car is too far from the house to plug the charger in. As advised by the AA and others on these forums, I have been putting the car into ‘Ready Mode’ when hoovering the floor mats or loading / unloading the boot - something I have never had to do with any other car! I have raised the matter with Lexus again.
