  1. A point that has been made many times - when calling the AA with a flat 12v battery we are sitting on a well-charged massive hybrid battery fully capable of “lending” a few amps to start the instruments.🤬 well done Hyundai.
  2. As mentioned on this forum previously, I killed the 12v battery about 18 months ago when washing the car and had to be boosted by the AA. Lexus checked the battery and said it was fine. About 6 months after that it failed when loading the car to go on a day trip. Again Lexus said it was fine and wouldn’t replace it. At the time I said to them that the battery often read 10.9 or 11.1 volts across the terminals but they wouldn’t budge. I have since always put the car in ready mode for any time it is unlocked for loading, cleaning etc. I bit the bullet and bought a new 12v replacement battery from Lexus at it’s last service because I was suspecting that with my 18day holiday and the car stood out in the cold on my drive, I would return to a dead car. Having a dead car is only a minor inconvenience as I have a Booster, but I am sure the dead battery events cause irreversible damage the cells. Anyway. 18 days later and it has opened and started perfectly.😬
  3. This is exactly what I did on the IOW ferry to avoid the alarm going off during the voyage…. As described above..
  4. You have to go into the menu on the Entertainment screen to disable the alarm sensors before you leave 5he car press the six button icon at the bottom of the screen to access the vehicle sub menu scroll through the 3 pages of icons - one is for disabling sensors you lose the setting once the engine is restarted
  5. Good point…. But the lead on my booster would probably have reached only one of those bolts indicated and I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. Did it just for my own piece of mind really.
  6. Discussion on the topic started on the US forum may be of interest to those with battery boosters: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-2nd-gen-2022-current/1030818-grounding-trickle-chargers-battery-chargers-jump-starting.html#post11808430
  7. My NX 350h was built in November 2021 but my dealer said I am on the Lexus List to receive a free Tracker and it is being fitted in November.
  8. If that happens to me (rarely) I just shut down the app and reopen it. That has solved the issue in the past. Bit like Control/Alt/Delete!
  9. Mine has the options. Apple iphone - Lexus Link+ version 2.9.0
  10. The rot started as far back as 2009. In Basingstoke 12 cars had their tyres slashed overnight. Hampshire police refused to attend saying that they do not attend or investigate car vandalism. A police friend was embarrassed to confirm what they said was true. That was 12 families and their friends becoming disillusioned with the police and holding them in contempt. I would have been respectful to send a bobby and someone to dust for fingerprints but the senior officers just didn’t care. A PR nightmare for the police and in my view this was the start of the rot.
  11. Most of those miles are Motorway and Dual carriageway. Otherwise they may have worn down much quicker.
  12. I had 4 of these replaced last month by Lexus Hedge End in Hampshire. I think Bridgestone must have sent fresh supplies to Europe. Best to ring round dealers and the the companies. If going to Michelin CC2’s there is no need to change the rims as far as I am concerned - that was my plan B as my fronts were down to 3mm after 30k miles but I am pleased to be back on RFT’s. PS the new tyres have 8mm tread and the ride is much smoother and quieter😬
  13. I looked into the repair aspect in Feb 23 when I had a nail in my Bridgestone RFT and learned that Bridgestone do allow repairs if not near the edges of the tyres. Unfortunately my nail was in the shoulder within an inch of the outer edge. This article confirms that advice in the case of Bridgestone: https://www.bushtyres.co.uk/tyre-news/can-you-repair-run-flat-tyres/#5
  14. Strange Nigel that I can only ly see them at £ 307 fully fitted🤔
