  1. Since Lexus chose to update the Sat Nav software with the 2023 update my car no longer will update the software in my car via my home network. The system indicates that the latest version is being updated and then installed. However the latest2023 onwards version does not update into the screen. My local Lexus has contacted Lexus head office who say that in future my car will have to have map software updates installed by the local dealer. This is a retrograde step by Lexus who seem incapable of designing the software to meet all display models. The answer given by Lexus is lazy and suggests they can't be bothered with earlier vehicles. Of course the information in the car's manual about downloads no longer applies. Very disappointed with Lexus on this subject so it encourages users to use apple Car Play and Google Maps what work well and are frequently up to date.

  2. Last year the 2023 update to the Navigation system did not work. This was after Lexus had done a car software update. The local garage had to call Lexus to get this update to load. In doing so all the previous map uploads were lost. I have just tried to load up the latest 2024 updates on line. The car indicates that they have been installed but do not appear in the software update screen that only shows last years 2023 update. There seems something basically wrong with the software that even the local garage can't fix.

  3. When I started the car (UX250h 2021) the navigation system went straight to the round wheel on the screen that indicated it was doing an update. I left the car on for over 4 hours and nothing happened other than the wheel kept turning. So that was aborted and I downloaded the v2 for 2023. I have done this before and the latest version downloaded to the USB. However on loading the USB to the system it would not accept the USB. I checked the status of the nav system and saw it had reverted to 2020 v1 (the default) and there was no history. My local garage is having the car in next week and Lexus HO technical are aware. A recall of this model was performed in September and I don't know if that caused the problem. Lexus computer software is not that good.
