  1. Hi all, I was hoping someone could help me. Can someone confirm if the manifold flange which connects to the engine is supposed to be loose and not connected to the pipes? Im on my way to the garage so pic will follow shortly. Thanks
  2. I recently bought a ISF and its current in getting the manifolds taken off as one of the manifolds could have a crack in it. Ive also bought a replacement rad, my water pump was changed a few years back so its all good. Whilst its in there its getting the gearbox oil changed including the filter inside, engine oil, plugs, filters etc.
  3. Im based near Manchester and happy for you to have a poke round. Currently the ISF in the garage getting a few bits done then its into Lexus getting some recall work done. As a recent owner - id highly recommend these machines!
  4. Sorry for the delay ive been beyond busy! Right checked the paperwork was replaced in 2016 around 40kmiles ago. I had a look at earlier and couldnt see any coolant residue. I think its best to leave it for its next major service?
  5. Hi all, My water pump was replaced under warranty about 10 years ago. As the car will be going in for a the rad replacement is it worth getting another water pump - i cant find any info regarding the service life? Any help or guidance will be great. Thank you Imy
  6. Thank you for the above valuable information. I'll keep mine oem and have them welded up - its probably a good idea to weld up all four branches on both sides. I think its also worth putting new 02 sensors. Anyone have the part numbers for the 02 sensors, Engine mounts, and exhaust manifold gaskets? Not sure if there is a parts manual to this car or an online catalogue - sorry i'm relatively new to ISF ownership.
  7. Yea the wetransfer says expired. Do you have a youtube link etc.
  8. Thanks for this - sounds similar to mine. Will go for a drive later and pay a little more attention on acceleration on heavier loads. Did you have this manifold replaced or welded up? Other side good? Gasket replaced or reused? Also did the ticking noise disappear from cold start and acceleration? Sorry for the million and one questions!
  9. Hi there, Link doesn't work. Yeah ive read all sorts online you live in Lancashire as do I any-chance we could compare engine tones? 🙂 Are the manifolds made of cast Iron or Stainless steel? Thanks
  10. Morning all, I know this has been covered before but I’m struggling to get my head around it. Assistance please. The car makes a ticking noise which comes from the drivers side on a cold start up for about 10 seconds or so. However I can hear it a little when accelerating at low revs comes and goes. I’m guessing it’s cracked exhaust manifold. Also the car smells fuely in the cabin at times and under the bonnet on the drivers side it smells fumey. Many thanks Imy
  11. No thank you…. If I’m being the first I’d rather go my trusted local garage. I’m planning a few big jobs radiator change, gearbox service including the internal filter etc.
  12. Hi Vlad, Thanks for this. They did come up in my Google search what worries me have they worked on a ISF. I don’t fancy being the first. I shall call to ask. Thanks
  13. Hi all, Any Lexus specialist or good garages who have have worked on a ISF in or around the Northwest? I don’t mind travelling a little further for the right garage. Thank you.
  14. This is for a ISF - i'll update the post. My bad - I only see ISF lol
  15. Thanks dan - will be in touch in the future.
  16. Hi there, Yes it’s a cat back system. I shall post some pictures up on the weekend. Thanks Imy
  17. Afternoon all, Im not sure if this is the right section I wanted to see if there was anyone was interested in a PPE valved exhaust? Sounds very similar to o.e.m with the valves closed - valves open much louder - I can certainly say the engine felt like it could breath a little better over the stock exhaust. Sounds awesome when the intake flap opens! Selling to keeping insurance problems at bay as its classed as a modification. I'll be looking for £1050 ovno. Located: Manchester Prefer collection but can post if required. Thanks Imy
  18. Very hard to tell they are very Similar best comparing to the otherside on your car that’s how they fitted mine.
  19. Top and bottom ones are different but can be changed from side to side. I just had mine welded earlier. I know a thing or two about lost tips! Hope you get them sorted.
  20. Good point - thank you for advising me about it going inside out. Best to be safe than sorry, im also going to get lexus to carry out the transmission flush with the filter. The diff oil has been changed under two years ago.
  21. Did this include a coolant flush? It would be the nearest Lexus dealership.
  22. The cars got full lexus history and had extended warranty till about a year a so ago. Its got orange/ pink coolant in it. So does it rust inside out? I was think the pipes rusted from the outside or is the lack of coolant change or type a contributing factor? Eitherway it's getting changed.
  23. Hope you get it sorted. Your car looked fab!
  24. Hope you get it sorted. Your car looked fab!
  25. I was eying up several ISF's over the first lock down and distinctly remember a black late spec one (central rev counter) with just over 100k being offerred for £17k it took several months to sell, pre-facelifts were around the 13k mark even less - prices are strong however the next month or so will dictate are buyers paying for the cars or not as cars at the bottom end of the market have shifted. E92/E90 M3 aren't selling either alot of stock dealers are holding atm. Personally I think the prices will come down a little but not low as pre-lockdown levels. as others have said the road tax and fuel pay a huge part esp if were heading to the not so magical £2 a litre. I recently bought a ISF and its not had the Radiator done, I shall be getting it done as a preventive measure, during the mot I did ask and had a look myself and the pipes looks like they had oxidation but not corroded away - either way its getting done! I do have a receipt for the waterpump which is great. Also going to get the arms, sills and underside wire wheeled and clear coated to prevent rust, luckily its quite clean but having owed Japanese cars most of mylife they are known to be rot bags!
