  1. Not ideal for the road. I have a clutch pack in the DC2, great on track but a little pig for daily use. Any non clutch options?
  2. I dont live that far but I travel down that Chorley road quite often, that back road leads to blackburn/ darwin.
  3. Is the Cusco a clutch pack diff?
  4. nice video - i recognise these roads!
  5. How do the BC coilovers compare to the Bilsteins? what options are you looking at for a diff? I would prefer a oem diff unit and just swap the whole assembly.
  6. Hi all, I've owned the ISF for a few months and i've carried out all the preventative stuff. Im turning my focus on the suspension / LSD got a few questions: Im thinking of refreshing my shocks for oem units, although the oem units are pretty stiff, i hear later models are a worthy upgrade? Also Bilstein B6 offer some oem equivalents - anyone had first hand experience? In regards to the LSD anyone carried out a swap? i.e LSD fitted in original casing or just sourced a complete unit? Thank you
  7. I’ll be up for that. I’m heading out to the Yorkshire dales this Sunday with a few friends (6am start). F owners welcome to join.
  8. I used a Toyota specialist it wasnt cheap but I had the work carried out along side a full service, all fluids changed, new brakes, and a few more bits and pieces. The garage is based in Manchester.
  9. personally id be changing the based on mileage and or on age. This will only add value to the cars running and history.
  10. Fairplay - keep us updated, im fairly new to the ownership of a ISF. First thing i did was got the manifolds welded and changed the Rad.
  11. I doubt its the manifold which will cause a leak. Could be that the coolant as just aged and started rotting the new pipes of the rad? Get them to source the leak if its a rad get it changed asap i wouldnt drive the car to be on the safe side.
  12. Looks like you need radiator. Was this ever changed in the cars life?
  13. Local garage to me near Manchester, he works on alot of Toyota's, 50 years experience, his yard was full of toyotas and Lexus. He had't taken of a manifold of a ISF before but undertook the challenge without a problem, however I had to wait alot longer than he originally quoted, partly due to him catching covid and he's very slow at work but fussy about getting it right which he did. Taking the manifold off which was a pain, he had to lower the subframe a little to gain sufficient access so quite labour intensive. I then got a local exhaust specialist to carry out the weld as they carry out exhaust and manifold repairs all day. I viewed a lower miler lexus before buying mine and that also had a ticking noise on cold start, alot of people think its normal or a timing chain noise, however it's the manifold. Its really a factory fault and lexus should have sorted this out, the amount of mess it makes around your heat shields with the carbon is really something else and not forgetting your engines not 100% optimal.
  14. Great write up, I ended up with genuine parts cost a small fortune. I did see the parts on Autodoc but wasn't 100% if the fit would be great. Did you change the Aux belt changed? Hopefully many happy years of trouble free motoring.
  15. Little update, the weld sorted out the engine ticking noise! Alongside this, I had all the fluids doing including the gearbox and diff oils. Also had the Radiator changed. Drives like new!
  16. Lovely motor for sure! I have a Honda Integra DC2 - owned it for 14 years or so, Ive been getting the itch to sell it on as I no longer drive the car. The new CTR prices are holding strong and above list, maybe one for the future. Must be a completely driving experience that CTR?
  17. Missed the listing hopefully it can be repaired and its safe to put back on the road. Prices have jumped somewhat, models like the M3, RS4 have go under a huge price increase. I personally cant see the prices coming doing by much.
  18. I had my replaced a week ago and I the rad looked in great shape. If anyone needs a rad happy to sell. Certainly worth getting done thanks
  19. I’ve ordered some dot 5.1. Is this incorrect then? I’ve been heard of dot 3 being used
  20. I'll get some Motul Dot 5.1
  21. Hi, Even my local Lexus dealer isn't giving my a straight answer and searching the forum i'm getting mixed answers. What brake fluid does the ISF run? Or can I use Dot 4 or Dot 5.1? Dot 5.1 is a higher spec so will be better. Thanks
  22. Your correct as there is no movement on the welded ones they let go over time. If the manifold fails again GSF ones for sure. I'll keep an eye out! On a separate note is the brake fluid a Dot 4 or Dot 5.1 Im getting different answers even from Lexus. Thanks
  23. Your spot on. The flange easily wiggles up and seals correctly - that’s the first pic passenger side. Anyhow the driverssides just been welded. The garage is going to file it down and make it smooth as possible.
  24. From what it looks like that part of the flange is supposed to have movement. However the other manifold is far worse: I’m going to see if this can be welded up. On my way to the welder.
  25. Pic added, is this normal? The flange moves but there is no holes, otherside is coming off.
