I haven’t actually driven at night yet. Will be doing at the weekend so I’ll upload some footage.

No option of a rear camera. This particular model doesn’t support it.

cool thanks, I need to decide what to get in the next couple of weeks.

The one i have fitted in my old IS200, has very good footage during the day, but at night, anything not infront of the car, is unreadable.

Just had one installed by Lexus Sheffield - very pleased with it, both in terms of quality and price.

It comes as a kit that Lexus/Toyota have put together which includes the following items:

    • Nextbase 380GW (1080p Recording with GPS and WiFi) Link
    • 16GB MicroSD Card
    • NBDVRHK - Hard Wire Kit
    • NBDVR380BAT - Battery Pack (to allow use of Intelligent Parking Mode - camera automatically starts recording if movement detected)

All in, including fitting it was £275 inc VAT.

The kit has the product code GBNGA-LEXDC-AM

Considering the camera on its own without the sd card, hardwire kit or battery is £179 I thought the price was excellent.  The quality of installation is great with no sign of wires at all.

It fits flush with the windscreen so the image quality is really good - the camera doesn't get shaken about.

How is the quality at night? is there a lot of glare? number plates easy to see from a fast moving car?

Also did you have an option to add a rear camera too?

  3. hi,

i've had my is200 for 2 and half years now. and i've only notice recently, how hard it is to still change gears. even if i put my foot down on the clutch, as far as i can. i still have to gently push it into every gear, or i can feel/ hear a grinding noise.

    it is just me?

i'm still under warranty, so i guess i can get them to fix it? also would they also fix my boot lid? cos it doesnt open all the way up when i use the boot release button.

    thanks for any help.

  4. hi,

i was wondering if you guys could help me?

if i was to get an independent mechanic to fit on my front brakes, but i will obviously get the brakes from lexus.

would that invalidate my warranty? i have like 1 and half years left on it.

because i dont see the need to pay lexus £100 just to fit the brakes, when i can get it done for £20 from my local guy.

i know this guy from before, because my brother has used him before, to put brakes on his civic type-r.

    thanks for any help.
