@Mikael Blom thank for sharing. I just checked that my NX300h/MM17 is now also compatible and feels like everything should work. Normally, I am not worried about these things, but at the beginning of TSB it warns you about upgraded vehicle through the warranty channel  recommendation clause and then at the end of TSB there are possible failure codes which means the head unit can be bricked, as such no warranty will be provided. I have the files - it is pretty straight forward but will be thinking tonight to save dealer £145 vs almost free (DIY) upgrade! but the answer is; it is there - Yaaaaaay! good news on that part.

When I put my VIN in, it only shows the update for MM19 and not MM17

Hello, how are you guys , is any body hear about that ?
Apple CarPlay and android auto retrofit modulehttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/33047079091.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.8.4a522c32Dj6E4A

Lexus NX RX ES IS LS UX Android auto and carplay retrofit at CarSight Store
Obviously a lot of you have wondered if it was possible to install Apple CarPlay
there are a lot of Chinese companies selling Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay retrofit kits, I just don't see enough information about this particular company (CarSight). This is their AliExpress vendor page

    https://www.aliexpress.com/store/4692109?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000061.1.3ee52eb6nZuigG

Anywho, CarSight seems to have good reviews for the units they have sold the most. Also, I have seen there are options for BMW, Audi & Mercedes from other vendors. So my question is, who is going to take the plunge and try it our because I am too scared to do it! Seems pretty legit though and I see a lot of similarities between their documentation/information and what is available from the Naviplus site & videos. What do you guys thin

Why bother if lexus will do it for you next month (although that might change now) and from the rumours / speculation it won't cost you almost £250

Well if it is just trim dependent, I would assume that my car being a Premium it should of had one which begs the question that being a one owner car why was it not provided when I bought the car, something I will ask Lexus?

You should definitely check with your dealer.

When I brought mine it only came with the premium, so I don't see why yours shouldn't either, assuming it was available at the time.

with a Toyota dealer yesterday looking at the Camry.  They advised (hot new news)... the Apple Play is coming to the Camry and Rav4.

They also showed me an existing feature called mirror mode... they claim it also allows phone integration, for using Waze.... does that exist on the Lexus.. if so, is it any good?  (Dealer never mentioned it to us)

Mirror mode as you call it, normally does not work while you are driving. And yes I think it exist in all modern Lexus

Can’t see why it wouldn’t come to the UK.  More info from Joaquin Ruhi

    - Lexus Spain dealers will offer free Apple CarPlay / Android Auto retrofits on the following models (if equipped with the compatible MM17 multimedia system):
UX (2019 and 2020 model years) built on March 2019 or later
NX (2018, 2019 and 2020 model years) built on September 2017 or later
ES (2019 and 2020 model years) built on October 2018 or later

    - Other Lexus models are NOT compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Free dealer installation of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto retrofits for eligible vehicles will start in December 2019 for vehicles WITHOUT navigation and in April 2020 for vehicles WITH navigation.

That's really good to know, I can't wait to stop using my phone for navigation and music.

    Good news coming from Spain.

Lexus will upgrade the ES to Carplay/Android Auto for free 😀 (at least in Spain), from December.

The models that will receive this upgrade are:

    - UX (version MY19 y MY20) produced from March 2019
    - NX (version MY18, MY19 y MY20) from Sept 2017
    - ES (version MY19 y MY20) from Oct 2018

That's great news if it is made available to us in the UK

Not to be condescending to everyone, but I don't really know what all the fuss is about with this issue.  Yes I agree that you can buy a dud battery and they do have a shelf life so may not be fully charged when you buy them.  However, I just bought a pack of two CR2032 cell batteries from buyabattery.co.uk for the huge sum of £1.95 plus delivery, so £3.20 in total, and the battery change took about 30 seconds per fob.

    Check the link:

Maybe people just need an excuse to visit their dealership and have a free coffee, along with their free Battery replacement. While looking at the next car they plan to change to.. Or is that lexus's plan... 🤔

He didn't say but I got the impression that it would be a free update subject to car compatibility.

Probably only on newer models/cars but not sure.

That's good to know, let's hope they don't charge for it.

I have spoken to the dealership sales manager today and he has advised me the following....

Lexus have been in a long debate regarding EU licencing fees (US have had it a while now) for both Apple Car Play and Android Auto but this has now been resolved.

They will both be available very soon as a software update which is already available to some dealers in order for them to test it on their cars rather than clients cars. It is in the form of a car specific 'dongle' which is plugged into the car although I'm not sure if the dongle will be just a vehicle to transfer files to the car or if it will have to remain in place as part of the hardware?

This has been done by my dealer already but for reasons they are investigating it caused the infotainment system in question to basically 'crash'.

They have sent it (not sure if the dongle or info system or both) to Lexus for testing and are currently unsure if it was a corrupted file, faulty hardware or a bad, imperfect program?

It's unlikely to be a major or long term issue and the good news is that ACP & AA will be available soon from your local dealership once Lexus release it into the wild for customer upgrades..

So the EU licencing issues have been resolved and it's on it's way...That's what I'm told at least, be interesting to see what other Lexus dealerships say although some may still be reluctant to admit it until it has the 'green light' from dealership testing lest they get inundated with customers requesting the update before it's ready.

My car is currently on a ship called 'Toledo' which is somewhere on the south west cost of Italy. I am also told that my car may well already have the upgrade to ACP/AA but if not they will do it at the dealership once they are happy there are no issues.

That is some encouraging news, do you know if it will cost to have the upgrade? I know other manufactures charge.

  10. Have you checked your clutch doesn't need changing?

After 11 years of ownership of my is200, I noticed acceleration was no longer the same and then as time went on I could feel the biting point was much sooner.

After it was replaced it was prefect.
