If the 12v battery dies, will this cause the alarm to sound? - I have assumed that the alarm might have a small capacitor to allow this to happen but equally if the alarm is powered solely from the 12v battery, then it won't of course.

Any advice on parking up for 4-5 weeks? Going on holiday for 4-5 weeks and normally I would disconnect the battery on a standard car. Will a CT200h battery hold out for 4-5 weeks?

Can anyone recommend decent alternatives to OEM wind deflectors that will stay in place?

I had a problem in that when I turned to the rain sensing setting, the wiper swept only once despite any change to the sensor setting on the stalk. It turned out to be the actual sensor on the windscreen had been dislodged when the car was cleaned by the dealer. I managed to work out how to remove the sensor unit and fit it back properly.

On the off chance, does anybody have a spare set (4) rear brake pad springs, ie the 'V' shaped ones which keep the pads off the discs to prevent brake noise / squeal? It would seem that when the brake pads were replaced the springs were not put back on. I could obviously go to Toyota and buy a set but the RRP is between £30-40 which to me is ridiculous.

Best tape or stick pads for Number Plates?

Gorilla double sided clear tape / pads. Exceptional adhesive properties and can be removed easily when the plate is separated from the body / plate holder. The normal double sided number plate tape / pads separate when a plate is removed and leaves adhesive on both plate and body and needs considerable effort to remove. -
Is it normal for CT200h Rear View Cameras to fog up in winter / easily? If yes, is there any fix or means to prevent?

Have any F Sport owners managed to find / fit a set of mudflaps / guards? Seems to be a few being advertised on eBay and aliExpress but most say 'not F Sport'. Is there any specific reason why?

Brake Pads - Anti-Squeal Shim and Fitting Kits

Yes, I've bought some parts from Amayama before, eg F Sport Tyre Valve Caps and Valve Fitting Kits - the cost of 4 off each is less than 1 each from Lexus. As long as not urgent need, the prices are way below UK - even with postage from Japan (ca. £6) which seems to not be a rip off compared to typical UK postage costs. -
Are Lexus (Toyota) OEM Brake Pads supplied with the anti-squeal shim and fitting kits as standard or do you have to buy these separately?

If you disconnect or remove the 12v battery, do you need a code after reconnecting the battery? Also, if you need a replacement door key, is there a code that Lexus requires to be able to cut the key?

Has anybody fitted a hydraulic bonnet lifter(s)? If yes, where did you buy and was the fitment easy or difficult? Plus did you have to any mods, eg remove or cut anything? There seems to be some for sale on eBay, AliExpress, etc., but how good they are seems to be the question.

From what I have managed to read, only F Sports and Premier models have automatic folding doors mirrors as standard; however, can this feature be disabled?

There seems to be too much inspect only on service items rather than perform preventive maintenance, eg disassemble and reapply required lubrication, etc. Regarding the EGR, can carbon build up be prevented by the use of oil or fuel addatives / treatments? I have seen on some previous service invoices, eg oil flush / cleaner and fuel addative. Is this to prevent EGR problems?

Recently on Facebook, although mainly from the US, there have been a numerous posts of head gasket failures. Is this a common failure in UK CTs or is it purely down to high mileage CTs in the US?
