I got this one. I have a 2014 IS250 with Mark Levinson joy stick unit. The seller assured me they'd send the relevant cables for the ML joystick unit. I chose FedEx IP as the delivery choice and paid roughly £45 import tax. The seller says if you choose DHL they pay the tax. Not too sure about that but choose at your own discretion https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOcx1Em

Audio Bluetooth Connection
MattDH replied to TheBro72's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Tried it with a slightly older OEM cable and another high quality one and still doesn't recognise it as a USB source. Oh well, I guess Bluetooth shall have to suffice. I've purchased a 10.25" screen to replace the OEM so I guess that'll make up for the limitations of Bluetooth for now 😁 -

Are you able to take a picture and show me what the option looks like on your headunit screen when plugging your phone via USB? Maybe it is the cable that is causing it not to be picked up, but it'll be good for me to see what you can when it works. Yeah Bluetooth has come along way, theoretically Bluetooth 5.0 has a maximum distance of 240 meters. But still, cable is king 😁 -
Audio Bluetooth Connection

Well I'm using a Android phone (Samsung Fold 4) with a non OEM cable. I could try OEM but we'll see. What year is your IS? I'm the opposite, I'd prefer wired connection for as long as steering wheel controls still work to skip track. Plus wireless connections are always going to be less reliable than a wired connection -

I have a similar issue to you. On my 2014 IS250 with ML I stream music via Spotify to OEM Bluetooth and the song will play with no artwork. When the next song changes it will still show the previous songs info. The only time it will show the current songs information is if I manually skip the track. Very odd indeed. Not sure if a dealership update will fix that, if there even is an update available to the headunit? Also sometimes the Bluetooth audio will just stop working, but it stays connected. Sometimes a mixture of skipping tracks might get the sound back or disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth does the job. I've only tried connecting my phone via USB port in thr armrest once and couldn't see the option come up to play via USB. Didn't see why that could be, so always gone through Bluetooth for now. -
I've got the 4is front bumper conversion kit, 4is style headlights and VLAND rear lights for sale if anyone is interested. If you were wanting to collect all 3 items I could do a deal on them. Any questions don't hesitate to message me. Here's the eBay listing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125679189088?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=RKJ1D3nVSYC&sssrc=2524149&ssuid=RKJ1D3nVSYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I'd have a chat with these Marc, they specialise in these cars https://www.soarsperformance.co.uk/

Yeah works great. Even had it on my UK IS250, I just prefer digital number for speed. Yeah drop me a message mate and we'll see if I still got them or not
-
Yeah the HUD was great. I purchased a full upgrade when I still had the IS350 and it's taken 3 months to get here, so I've got the kit but no car to put them on. Hence the reason I'm selling them.
-
No longer have it, long story. I got the HUD from Amazon and HCmotion from Aliexpress. Yes I installed them myself. I'm actually selling a 4is front bumper conversion, HCmotion headlights and VLAND rear lights if you're interested

I'm sure I've seen someone retrofit paddle shifts on a 3rd gen GS before. Or maybe it was to a 2nd gen IS which didn't have it (Advance model)
-
Thinking of a change of the 2nd Gen IS. Not 100% convinced myself yet, had a few offers but waiting to see if some other Lexus model intrigues me
-
Anyone done a ISF seat swap into 2nd gen IS250/350? I think I'd prefer the slightly more bolstered seats that the ISF has in my 2nd gen IS350. Wondering if it's a straight swap or not. Ideally want to keep the heated seat function. Not too fussed about losing ventilation feature Or better yet a GSF/RCF seat swap into the IS250/350. I know someone has done it on their 3rd Gen IS but nothing about 2nd gen.

Got a video of my exhaust, waiting to add a 1792 resonator and then I'll be happy with the setup on that part of the car for now 20221010_181703_1.mp4

I thought 09 was the first facelift? Blimey that's cheap, still a lot cheaper than mine. I'm on my 3rd year NCB so waiting for the 4th so I can protect it. The device on top is a HUD which can display speed, altitude and time amongst a few other things. I actually quite like like the paddle shifting and the auto box. It certainly down shifts quicker than me when I want to overtake. Means I can keep both hands directly on the steering wheel for extra safety. I've learned how the gearbox works now, at first I didn't get on with it as it wasn't how I expected a normal manual mode automatic to work. But now I get along with it just fine. I mean it's not as quick as the ISF at shifting on command, but it's quick enough for my liking. Come join my JDM Lexus Owners club on Facebook. It'd be good to have another follow UK owner on there https://www.facebook.com/groups/540929091142549/

For me, personally, without any mods it would've been around the same price. But I'm with a different insurer now with better cover and it's more expensive
-
It's just perfect. Luxury, reliability and speed when you need it. I've actually got a quote directly from the manufacturer for $800 shipped which includes 4is bumper PLUS hcmotion headlights, bargain! However, one caveat is that they will only ship to a Port due to the size of the box that it comes in. But nothing a Enterprise van hire won't accommodate

So I got it from a person who personally imports cars from Japan and he had a switch fitted where the rear shade button is (circled in red).
