GS-F vs RC-F vs IS-F

I'm keeping my eye out for a GSF, there's currently a blue one (The best colour) on Autotrader which looks amazing however it is a Japan import for £35k. I've had my IS250 for 3 years now and I'm sort of on the fence if I should just buy a ISF or go for a bigger GSF in the new year as it's just a lot more modern. The problem is the GSFs are certainly holding their price well and the RCF are more reasonable, so I'm sort of swayed thinking maybe I should get an RCF for around the £25k mark and save the money; then again at those prices I can see myself probably in something else as there's a lot of competition. Probably a bit left field but I've also been thinking a BMW 440i Gran Coupe would be a good stop gap. I'm scared that as we get closer to 2030 and electric cars get pushed more by the government, petrol and diesels will increase in price. -

Hi Guys and Gals, A few weeks back I got a set of 4 new Goodyear Eagle Ace 6 F1 Tires for my car but ever since getting them fitted, the car just doesn't feel right at all. To cut a long story short I've had the tracking and balancing redone by an independent, basically to make hardly any difference; so I asked Goodyear for advice. I inevitably took it back to the original place who fitted the tires to get "some checks done" and they also did a wheel alignment and balancing, apparently the tracking was off as the front wheels both had their toe pointing outwards. So after the work was completed, I tried driving the car but it still didn't feel very balanced; I gave it a few days thinking it was a placebo of being "OK" but ultimately it's no different. When on the motorway I feel as if I'm always slightly fighting the car from going left as if I'm always putting weight on the wheel kind of like a weight is on the right side pulling it down, the tracking seems alright if I keep the wheel straight as it does go straight but it seems to drift left getting progressively worse until I have to inevitably grab and steer back. One thing I also noticed is there's also slight vibrations through when wheel at pretty much all speeds although it feels like it's only coming from the right side which is odd, as it's not massive noticeable like the balancing is off but there's definitely a weird feeling as if it's fidgeting somewhat. I just put this down to new tires giving better road feel though as my old ones I had were ER300s by Bridgestone originally fitted by Lexus. In addition to the drifting the car seems to also turn left whoever I hit a pothole, the wheel will centre basically instantly if I turn left, but if I turn right the car feels more eager to turn in but the wheel doesn't return as fast as it does when turning right; in fact it kind of sits a few degrees off centre to the right and never returns to full centre. I'm totally confused as to where I should go next as this problem seems to be getting kicked down the road, I originally left my car at the tire place who fitted them originally "who are a chain" for two days and all they did is the tracking and wheel balancing; so I'm losing all hope due to the fact it's so bad to drive and I just want it sorted. Does anyone have any ideas on what areas to look for or what I should be asking from the original tire fitters? p.s Sorry for the war and peace, it's all making me very sad. -
You're absolutely correct, tbh my first car is an IS250 and I still adore it; however I did have a work van before I bought my Lexus and I've found that I really need something bigger. The only options I can see is a GS250 which is slower than my IS250 with the same engine or going crazy by getting a GSF, which is way out of my budget as a 24 year old and totally imopractical for city driving. I don't want to get rid of my is250 as it does mostly everything I want, however I find myself needing more space for my scuba and camping equiptment; so a 335d or 330i estate is looking like a possible option in the future. I have toyed with buying a 4x4 Skoda Superb and getting it stage 2 mapped, but that seems rather excessive for such a boring car.

This morning I tried putting down my rear windows in the car via the switches on the drivers door and only the drivers side rear window actually moved. When I operate the window on the rear passenger door via the button on the rear door it goes up and down as intended, however it just refuses to move when using the button on the drivers door. Does someone have any pointers or does it look like I may need to buy a new switch for the drivers door?

I like the fact lexus offer an extra year of warranty every time you take the car in for a battery check (up to 10 years old), although I don't think I'll be getting a hybrid anytime soon I do like the new phev car's; I know people who get free charging at work and don't use a penny in petrol all week.

I'll have to give that a go, thanks for the advice guys. Tbh the place I bought it from is over 50 miles away, so I'll probably jus fix it myself, plus I imagine they're only going to do what you guys suggested anyways, I'll take the bolt out and find a washer of the same/similar size; it should stop it popping forwards then hopefully.

I had a 1.6HDI Berlingo van which was running a bit rough and getting mediocre fuel economy, got a bottle of Fortè diesel system clraner from an independent garage and it made it run way better whatever it did, it just become much smoother running in general too. I must add that I did have all the filters changed too, including the fuel filter. The problem is there's so many variables it's hard to pinpoint the problem with it "running rough", has it been serviced recently? Also isn't the 2.2D just a very inefficient diesel anyways? I always thought there wasn't much in it between the diesel and petrol IS's.
