  1. Thanks Ronnie, unfortunately, the car was collected and delivered to home address. I was not even at home. They now confirmed that the recall update during installation damaged the unit beyond repair. A new unit is on order.
  2. Strange experience today. Had a 2024 Lexus UX collected from home in for a warranty recall update. Was told the update could not be updated and parts were ordered. Dealer dropped off the car. Started car this morning and the whole multimedia is blank, not responding to any touch. Nothing works, system completely malfunctioned with no sign of life. Very upset as dealer should have been open and transparent about this. Just dropping off the car in that condition without any explanation and not even the courtesy of when the repairs will be completed is just beyond belief. Do not want to name the dealership but anyone experienced this.
  3. Thanks Pavan, much appreciated. My commute to work and beyond is close to the range of 40 miles a day, so definitely will require daily charging. However, the bulk of that is motorway driving where the increased power difference will be of value. I enjoy the Lexus effortless and controlled power cruise (not the mad dash around - you see in Audi and mercedes drivers - no offence meant). I don't mind the noise as my music drowns all that while cruising but ride quality is top on my agenda, so a mixed bag there. Great to hear you are enjoying it and I might be tempted to book a test drive if they can let me have it for a full day😏. Yes to the 2 year urge but it has to be something better or not worth it for another 2, if nothing goes wrong. Reliability for me is indispensable.
  4. I now have 2 or 3 outstanding recalls. Not sure whether to be happy that Lexus is proactive with identifying and repairing potential problems or that the model is an accident waiting to happen. On a positive note, I have had 12 months of happy motoring, loved the Nx350h fsport but now thinking whether is time to move on. Any new nx450h owners with nx350h experience who could advise any differences that is incentive to upgrade.
  5. I agree, lovely car and reliable...until you need a tyre replacement or as in the recent thread...a new side mirror.
  6. Although, I do not need them now but found the exact run flats Bridgestone available at ATS Euromaster online @ £292.42 per tyre, all in stock.
  7. Well, this tyre thing is slowly getting out of hand. I am dreading having a puncture now. My 2 year service is almost here and as things are, I hope no stories about tyre replacement as would likely drive these OEM sets till they are 1.6mm or less before even considering any changes
  8. The traditional passengers even when the doors are open will grab the handle and push out. You will have to tell them to push the silver tab in and push out. Complicated for newbies.
  9. Lexus' doors take a bit of getting used to. Nx being one of the most complicated until you get used to it but never your new passengers. Rest assured, I was told, that in an accident, all the doors' safety features disengage, so you can exit freely. I hope and pray never to experience that though. Nonetheless, my missus picked me up at the train station with her 24 Lexus UX. Well, I could not get into the car for awhile while she fiddled with the lot. I think Self Parking is on Takumi spec and certainly not on Premium Plus but not sure whether it is activated for UK customers. Those who own NX Takumi would know.
  10. The latest map update is 23/24 v2 PW675-00A78 in that navigation update. Not sure there is any other rolled out in Europ unless you are in USA.
  11. Navigation version updated February 2024. If you go to your update history, it will show you all your updates and what the updates relates to. The car was registered 2022, had an update in 23 and latest 24.
  12. Used the updated Lexus map with new features on the way from Gatwick to Bristol. Well, I spent 2 hours driving through all B lanes. Got fed up and switched back to Waze and no diversion for the rest of the way and back. Whoever designed the Lexus maps definitely lives in Japan.
  13. Happened to a friend on Nissan Qashqai. Modern headlights come as a unit. Cost to my friend upwards of £1750 including ECU for just one unit not pair. Rare incident the dealer said but when it happens, ridiculously expensive to put right.
  14. Echo this - waited 14 months - ending with deceptive practice from the dealer trying to fob me off by changing interest rate supposedly locked in at 3.8% to 11.9%. I smiled and paid cash. The look on their faces, I will never forget. Love the car but lost all trust in Lexus dealers.
