Go to somewhere recommended if possible, i had front back and sides and boot spoiler all sprayed fitted for £500 but was at a decent well known spray shop, and they admitted it was a pain in the arse to match up. But it transformed the look after, i wouldnt have an IS without them on now.

Have you connected everything up? Nothing is unplugged? This is what I would check 1st. If all is ok, then reset the ECU (by disconnecting the battery or pulling out the fuses, can't remember which ones now). If all is well, the CEL should go out, if not, then something else is causing the problem.
Yeah checked all plugs wires etc, will reset ecu tomorrow and hopefully all will be well thanks

Hi all just replaced my old plugs with new denso ones and now the engine management light is on????
Everything seems to be running ok starts up fine etc .
Is it worth disconnecting the Battery and seen if it clears itself?

I had my IS200 serviced about 4 weeks ago , the guy put the NGK irridium plugs in (about £60.00 quid) I then got a set of the Denso IK20 from e-bay for $49.50 dollars from an e-bay shop called Auto Parts Warehouse , (not incl delivery) fitted them myself and I must admit the car feels smoother and picks up faster . So I guess I'd say go with the Denso IK20's.
Regards
Paul.
:D
Had a set this week from the USA for £33.74 delivered, off eBay, by (allsparkplugs) $67.50 total. Took about 10 days for delivery.

Was driving the other day, took it passed 65mph and the steering wheel started vibrating. The car also pulls slightly to the left. I`m wondering whether I have sticky or siezed calipers as the car hardly gets driven much during the week. the brakes seem to be fine. Car is Lexus is200 sport 2001.
Same thing haappened here about 8 months ago started vibrating at speed then noticed a burning smell when getting out of the car, realised drivers side disc very warm compared to the other side, on closer inspection when jacked up drivers side wheel would hardley budge.
Turned out to be a seized caliper.

I used to have that sort of shuddering/vibration on my car and discovered it was a sticking piston on the passenger front.
I just replaced it with one of Ebay,
Thats all i can really suggest mate.
Stav
Same here only problem ive ever had in 3 years is front drivers side caliper knackered same as you mate vibration etc, check your disc when you have been out somewhere for heat to see if there is a noticeable difference, mine was really hot and you could smell it as it was obviously sticking on on one side luckily it didnt do any harm to the disc.

Where do you get this snow foam stuff and who makes it?
That detailing link above shows using proper car shampoos - does this stuff actually clean the car? The point behind foaming is that you let the soap do all the work, meaning less scrubbing of the paintwork.
Does this snow foam stuff do exactly that? If so, I'll be needing to get some of that too! Got to say, it does look very impressive! :winky:
If you take a look at www.detailingworld.co.uk oyu will find everything you need to know about this stuff.
Its supplied by quite a few traders on there but the lance i got from autobrite. He does group buys on these for about £45 delivered with 5ltrs of snow foam aswell. Ive been using it for a while now with a mixture of TFR (traffic film remover) that he sells, you only need a couple of cap fulls of each in the bottle thats supplied with it. Then top up with water and away you go.
You can also get it off eBay by another trader.
I had only ever used Meguiars stuff untill i started reading about other waxes polishes shampoo's etc on there and realised theres alot more out there other than Megiuars.
You really need to go to one of there meets that happen quite often all over england and see some of the stuff etc in action.

Hi All
Its my first time posting and felt the time has come for some advice, being a woman, I am finding it incredibly hard to get anyway without being taking for a ride.
I have read all the info on other people's rather annoying knocking noises and just wanted to ask where to start first really!!
I have a knocking noise, quite a dull noise, constantly coming from the drivers side front. I have just had my discs and pads changed as they were squeaking so they are up to date.
I have now been to five different garages and the first 3 said cant find anything, just turn your stereo up!
The last one has said my shock absorber is leaking, but this is on the passenger side and that the ball joint also on the passenger side has a bit of movement in it. Apparantely I need to change both shockers at the same time. Is this right?
What I cant understand is why the noise is so loud on the drivers side if there is problems on the passenger!? I know sound travels but *** its got to go some its well loud!
I dont want to start changing things in the hope of stopping the noise and eventually spend loads of dosh!
Any further help would be very much appreciated before I sell the damn thing! AHHHHHH
Hi, is it knocking all the time or when turning only etc

Greasing the cable could be, though not fully sure will have to wait till someone who knows the ins n outs of them to tell.
Have you checkd if your mats arnt rubbing against the pedal?
Def check your mats it happened to me a few times till i realised the mat was to far forward and catching on the top of the pedal.

Dont know who's seen it or not but here goes, lovely colour aswell.

It does really depend on the scratch and how deep it is.
As above post says some wet and dry 1500 to 2000 grade paper will shift most light scratches.
Ideally a buff down after with a pc with some decent polish, i use Sonus sfx1 restore polish on a medium pad and it comes up like new.
Just in the middle of doing a few chips on my partners 206 as a practice before i have ago on the lexus and its looking ok using the above method.
Dont know where abouts you from Strafer but im in Scunthorpe and Stoke-on-Trent all the time, your welcome to use my pc and polishes if you want to have a go at it.
