  1. Then your cars are on the Porgy passing the west coast of Spain. My mate’s LBX is on it and due 22nd.
  2. Yes, I think you want the Corsa forum.
  3. It doesn’t make sense does it. The car came minus some of the spec that was in the brochure. They offered me a £400 voucher or I could upgrade for £4500 and a 12 month (covid) wait. We (the dealer) couldn’t come to an agreement.
  4. I had a 22 NX brand new and sent it back because I didn’t think it was good value. The seats in the new NXs are awful. You can’t get much under the 40k threshold now so I think the Takumi is still ok.
  5. No you didn’t, you said you don’t have any space with AWD. Those photos are the old model. All SZ needs is a deck board. I’ll try and get a part number off mine.
  6. I’ll photograph mine later tomorrow.
  7. So I have to eat my words and let Lexus off the hook for not discounting 250h in readiness for the 300h’s. Stockport have got a good selection with better than Carwow discounts (not sponsored). I love the colour of this F Soort Takumi pack.
  8. Not true. Mine is an AWD and I’ve got a styrene insert under the lower deck. @duckzee, lift that insert out and show us underneath.
  9. I’m old and got no patience for tech, I see it as a necessary thing but I’d rather have a Lexus with a clockwork engine than a Tesla with decent tech.
  10. Oh aye, when every other car has a number plate made up to spell their name and people interfere with performance chips, I don’t think reducing the volume of the woo woo maker is going to attract the attention of the flying squad. 20,000 new cops on the street my left foot.
  11. You can visit the Lexus factory - it’s free. There is a way of silencing the noise generator - gaffer tape is involved 😉
  12. In CarPlay, they only show up when a destination is set. Try that.
  13. Mine does 12.3” version and I’m sure yours should. I think from memory you set on the the steering wheel in the settings menu on the dash and not the infotainment screen.
  14. That would alert pedestrians for sure. It’s only in our luvvy snowflake society that not getting run over isn’t part of looking what you’re doing. Another legacy from the USA were no doubt litigation was brought against a silent car. My dealer calls it “the voice of angels” but I’m afraid of scaring my neighbours when I return from work after midnight. Sounds like ghosties wailing! 👻
  15. Yes you can remove it but you lose the benefit of having it. You can see the fuel and you can set the air conditioning to warm up or cool down the interior. It will warn you of its location including if it gets stolen. Mine even sent a message to say one of the rear windows wasn’t closed when the wife was shopping and when she went to look she realised she must have caught the switch when leaving the car. It was open a tiny bit and it warned us. Having said all that, mine was a pain at first and never connected properly despite me trying all sorts of things off this forum but I went to the dealer and they got one of their techy geeks (not a mechanic, an IT sort) to connect it and it’s been perfect since. I can 100% assure you, if it isn’t working it is because it isn’t connected properly.
  16. It’s a noise generator Roger that is a legal requirement. You can’t switch it off I’m afraid. All electric cars have to do it including Hybrids running on electric up to a certain speed.
  17. Good for you. It’s refreshing to see somebody with the right attitude to ulez.
  18. Yes, it’s more of an assister than a drive axle but it’s surprisingly good in poor conditions. I took mine out in quite deep snow and it was boring. It just drove like there was no snow! The new 300h will have a 40hp rear axle.
  19. I don’t. The first stop for my brand new UX E4 was the tyre fitter for all season tyres but AWD first then tyres. Yes, a FWD with winter tyres will out perform an AWD in the snow but the combination is best and any other time, an AWD is a much better prospect than a FWD with the supplied tyres.
  20. True enough, they are not off roaders. You’ll get people saying it’s a waste of time but it isn’t because it’s dialled in to the stability control so it will handle better. It’ll behave better in the wet too.
  21. You can get some very high trip summaries but you really need to go off a longer term average. The trip meter will show the average of the current trip based on driving style and conditions so if you fill it up then drive carefully mostly down hill you’ll get artificially inflated figures that will hold the figures up. I can get 99mpg on a trip onto the Cheshire plain but going to work over the hills pulls it down. Ignore the trip computer and work out the average of three tank to tank fill ups by calculation.
  22. It might not make much difference but you stand the chance of needing new tyres prematurely.
  23. No you won’t. I’m on Goodyear all season tyres and I get mid 40s. I don’t thing anyone will get 60s in the winter until the UX300h comes and even then it will be pushing it.
  24. they’ve arrived on some shores now and are popping up on YouTube. I’d love a little stroll around Portbury and Burnaston.
