  1. I think in law you have to give them at least one chance to fix it but you’ll probably find they’ll take it back if you ask. You may also find that we buy any car will give you more than you paid for it.
  2. These are runflats https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/pirelli/scorpion-zero-all-season-ncs/235/50/R20/W/104/f?tyre=38694048 https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-gb/car/catalogue/product/scorpion-zero-all-season These are too https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/goodyear/Eagle-f1-asymmetric-suv-at-sct/235/50/R20/W/104/f?tyre=38184199 https://www.goodyear.eu/en_gb/consumer/tires/eagle_f1_asymmetric3.EAGF1AS3.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA0eOPBhCGARIsAFIwTs42VFs0u0ciE9zMkMEqLpzxGuhHeIRNyUU91OoWSVaaco6TWsQA52EaAmPxEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds You don’t have to use runflats, you can put standard tyres on the rims.
  3. I agree it is good as are most of her tutorials but just keep in mind that the US process may be quite different to ours.
  4. I’ve been in Mercs and Beemers and they are the same materials on the doors plus they are hopelessly unreliable so I know which I’d have.
  5. Yes, I wasn’t clear. What I meant was, it only comes with a “Takumi style” pack rather than the full Takumi spec. I know you can get the premium packs 👍
  6. The F Sport is only available with a “Takumi Pack” so it’s not a true Takumi spec. Most cars get scratchy plastic lower down as you tend not to make contact with it less unless it’s kicking it on the way out. I pressure wash my car frequently inside the door shuts and it gets soaked so wiping it down after is easy.
  7. It won’t need much heat to defrost the glass. Let’s wait and see.
  8. Your App must be registered with the same address as the email you have with the dealer. Could be why!
  9. I had a good test drive on Wednesday. It was the NX Premium Pro Pack below. It is quiet and absolutely tight as a drum so an almost vacuum like ambience as far as noise goes. I took it over the hills towards the Snake Pass and it averaged 46mpg which is a good 10mpg better than the previous NX. The HUD is crystal clear and so id the 360 camera. I didn’t really play much with the media system but its all nice, fast and easy to reach. The fit and finish is what you would expect from a luxury car. I had two gripes with the last NX, the flippin’ touch pad which is resolved and the bolstering on the seats. As Alan says above, that is a big concern. I’m not particularly broad (13.5 st ish) but I can’t do with being wedged in a bucket seat and I found the last Takumi literally painful (I accept that some like that). So where are we with this one...... they are snug, put it that way. They are also firm but it is certainly better than the last one. I personally would prefer them a little less so in both respects and anybody broad will need to be thick skinned or they are going to feel it. I really don’t get it because there is the F Sport for those that like that kind of thing so why insist on another version of a bolstered seat. There was a base NX with the Tahara (vinyl but nice to touch) and that seat is sensationally comfortable. It is much softer so it applies much less pressure from the bolsters. The problem there is, my mrs only asked for one thing and that was ventilated seats so I can’t really down spec unless its at her expense. I think I’m going to see if it gives but I might end up getting those bolsters altered. I really like the car and the build quality and the way it drives etc so I’m going to have to put up (including getting the seat altered) or shut up. There is absolutely no signs of the new one. It still shows as “Processing Order”.
  10. I don’t think even Lexus knows for sure as the supply chain and shipping is so precarious and Omicron is yet to hit some areas. Somebody said a little while ago that a ship had berthed in Southampton and I’d hoped that might at least satisfy every dealer. I’ve let my MkI go to WBAC as they were 3k above the dealer offer. Incidentally, they were superb and the actually increased the offer after assessing it.
  11. That’s not for the sake of the camera, customer really is king there.
  12. Anybody know if these demo’s have turned up in any dealers yet?
  13. Well there’s at least one in the country!!! The nice thing about the non painted fenders is that if you scrape one, you just pop a new one on rather than getting it painted.
  14. The US have NXs with a petrol engine and a rear drive axle. They can engage the drive clutch to give a kind of AWD effect. Your 300h doesn’t have a switch but it will engage the rear drive motor automatically under certain conditions.
  15. I struggled at first but somebody on this forum advised me to make sure I was logged in with the same email address as I’d given the dealer. I wasn’t but when I changed it, everything worked fine. Could be worth checking.
  16. You’ve already told us your not having one because carwow managed to rock the centre console. Now it’s because there’s no leather. There’s always somebody on this forum ready to tell those of us that ordered the new model why we shouldn’t have done. If we took any notice, Lexus might as well stop car production.
  17. It isn’t being done for cost cutting, it’s being done because it needs to be done. The amount of hides that are used in car production all adds to the meat thing and it needs stopping. I’m amazed it didn’t come out of COP26. Modern synthetics like Alcantara are far more durable than leather and nicer to sit on. Leather is hot in summer and cold in winter so heated and ventilated seats are needed. I’d opt out of leather and have alcantara or fabric every day of the week.
  18. You crawl inside the boot and there’s a little panel down near the lock. Pop that out and you’ll see the little catch.
