  1. I’d hoped it would run again now Covid is a thing of the past. We could do with a good tyre kicking session!
  2. The Goodyears are fitted and it’s significantly quieter. I’ve got four new run flat Bridgestones to sell if anyone is interested. Make a suitable offer.
  3. Somebody asked if turn by turn in the HUD works in connection with Apple Maps. It does - perfectly and the graphics are crystal clear. It shows the road you are on, the road you need to join and then the graphics are really nice. They show the distance then as you approach close they flash (but not distracting) and then they animate as you join the junction (become sequential).
  4. It’s only because I still work part time but go all times of night from the Buxton area. It can make the difference between getting home or not!
  5. I can confirm that it isn’t possible to put a wheel under the lower deck. You can’t put much of anything in mine as it has the control unit for the AWD but even without it, you wouldn’t get a wheel in. You might get a spacesaver in the middle level. I would imagine a scrapper of the right real would have the purpose made styrene insert.
  6. Mine was collected today and I must say it’s got a book and a nice folder to put it in. It’s not quite 700 pages but it hasn’t got about 500 pages of Type Approval Certificates either. It seems to be the full version. The holder in the glove box for the book slides out leaving a much more useable space and the folder fits in the seat back pocket. All these journalists that forever copy each other can’t seem to fathom why only the passenger seat has a pocket at the back but but it makes perfect sense. Unless you’re Inspector Gadget, it’s impossible to put something in your own seat back!
  7. You have got something to lose if it’s not fine because you’d have to change them. I’ve discussed it with the insurance before and they fully support all season and winter tyres. The opening post tells of a dealer recommending a standard tyre. The tyres are unsprung weight and don’t adversely effect the handling. My NX was fitted with cross climates from day one and with the insurance company blessing.
  8. I’ll be up in Nairn later in the month if you want a look William 😉. The space saver will fit but you’d have to just try the nuts because Lexus tend to use very thick alloy wheels and long studs. The domed nuts might bottom out.
  9. What a strange question. The second part assumes the first part was done. I didn’t inform them but they said stop wasting our time and you don’t need to tell us what oil or washer fluid or brake pads you put in as long as they are a reputable brand. I’m being facetious until I understand your motives.
  10. You have got it but it won’t recover deep scratches, it does take the spider webs you can see in bright sun and it works better on hot days when the outer layer softens and it takes time too. I I’ve got a pdf somewhere. Your car looks amazing.
  11. I used to have a MkI Fiesta. It had the coil mounted 6 inches from the dizzy cap so I’d often be sat in the cinema with the HT lead in my pocket.
  12. Absolutely love that colour although my mrs has the green car thing and won’t entertain it. Please don’t take this the wrong way because it’s only an advisory. Lexus paint shouldn’t be polished because it has a self healing outer layer which shouldn’t be removed. So any coatings need to be applied with minimal disturbance to the outer layer. It look sensational in the photos.
  13. That’s actually not as easy as it sounds. The current ones can be downloaded from some areas but others it doesn’t give that option. I get that a book is easier to read than a smartphone and if you really can’t get a WiFi signal, none of the links work and when you trawl through 700 pages then it keeps flirting back it’s a pita. So yes, do away with a book but get the bugs out of the alternative first. I bought a new Yaris Cross and it did have a folder with an abridged manual, is that not the case now? I collect mine on Saturday.
  14. They're Goodyear Vector All Season gen 3 Len.
  15. It’s such a pity, my neighbour has just thrown a virtually new one away. They rested one of those car valet air fresheners on the smooth part and it literally melted the surface. The new part (that long piece with the vents in) was £600.
  16. I’ll give a subjective report when they’re fitted Terry 👍
  17. You might be right Tel but I’ve been on those tops at all times in all weathers and been the only one to get off by having all seasons. It’s a done job now, I’ve paid for them so someone on here can have a real bargain on the run flats. The Goodyears have the same 70Db drive by noise rating as the new generation run flats.
  18. Once your phone has been paired, it will always look for it. If you don’t want to carry your phone, delete the account.
  19. You do it on your phone. See 23:40 in here, https://youtu.be/WtW9nNih9Ug?si=foBGbEBNdapMvH8S
  20. I’ve ordered Goodyear all seasons for mine. Haven’t got the car yet!
  21. If I leave mine in the garage while I go on holiday, I pull the IGN1 relay. Unless they’re geared up with such things, it ain’t going anywhere.
  22. You can make a nicer job of fitting the plates too. They often have the dealer name slapped across them which when you think about it, if you scrawled your name on the front and back of their car they’d call the police. They want you to advertise for them and they don’t even offer to tax your car for free or free servicing! All the plates need is a very small discrete manufacturer name and the BS number so they often look much nicer.
  23. No, due to other commitments, I can’t pick it up until the 7th anyway but if we assume yours does come ashore on Thursday, it then has to go to Burnaston (Derby) first for onward distribution first. That’s two trips in a queue of a lot of other cars. They go to Derby so they can fill a truck with complete orders but it might help if your dealer isn’t far from a Toyota dealer so they can load it all up together. I’d work on 2 - 4 weeks and then the dealer needs to pdi it.
