  1. With a 2016 model you will still potentially have 2-years Relax warranty cover.
  2. No it should not be leaking water, the grommet connects the HVAC system to air vents in the door to aid de-misting, so it's intended to be air tight rather than water tight.
  3. Legally your contract and hence complaint is with the supplying dealer. However, if you can get Lexus UK on your side (the vehicle should never have been sold as an approved Lexus) I think that will help your case.
  4. A simple check is do all the windows steam up when the car is parked in the sun, this is a sign of water ingress somewhere in the vehicle.
  5. I would try operating it when you are not sitting on it and giving it a shove at the same time.
  6. If you have got the service history check with the dealer where the last service was undertaken as they would have probably done the work. It may also be recorded in the online service history.
  7. Sounds like something in the drive line, could be the differential. As above rev the engine in neutral whilst stationary to eliminate the engine or ancillaries.
  8. For the Gen 4 RX it's nearly 800 pages and then another 400 for the infotainment system. You may find some of the Youtube videos a better option.
  9. My sons BMW 1-series is 2-years / 15,000 miles, similar age vehicle, fundamentally it's the same technology. Yes ISF is a high performance car so if you red line every gear change then an oil change would be a good idea, normal driving I think it would be fine.
  10. I'd go for MOT only, many cars have a 2-year service interval these days anyway so I don't think you need an oil change after 1-year and 600 miles.
  11. I would expect a first aid kit for the LS400 to include a defibrillator, a full set of surgical instruments, surgical gown, PPE etc.
  12. I would be surprised if that was the case, quick bit of detective work on google shows what looks like a well equipped Toyota workshop. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Snows+Toyota+Southampton/@50.9155256,-1.4544919,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipMrfLLtuGvxAw1gDZvUSbCyNhLYJ0EsN2i5h1_o!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMrfLLtuGvxAw1gDZvUSbCyNhLYJ0EsN2i5h1_o%3Dw203-h133-k-no!7i6120!8i4024!4m7!3m6!1s0x487476799c1d3a37:0x2af1556071e77d79!8m2!3d50.9154822!4d-1.4546954!10e5!16s%2Fg%2F1td6xl9p?entry=ttu
  13. I believe it's Lexus policy not to service Lexus vehicles at Toyota dealers, probably to do with positioning Lexus as a premium brand. My local Steven Eagell dealer is a combined Toyota / Lexus dealer, separate showrooms but no doubt a shared workshop.
  14. I think increasing repair costs and personal injury claims are also a factor in overall price increases.
  15. There is one listed in the accessories section of the RX brochure so will be available from a Lexus dealer, but don't expect it will be cheap.
  16. It was before I owned the car, the documentation states Recall VGG05, if you google that there is some info from Lexus Australia, looks like it's the low pressure pump. https://lexusmanuals.com.au/docs/safety-recall-fuel-pump-replacement-vgg05/
  17. According to the Service history my 2018 RX had the fuel pump replaced as a recall.
  18. No it was three years, but if an approved Lexus vehicle it should have a 1-year warranty that covers most things.
  19. It's not a common car and I suspect many are low usage weekend cars kept in garages.
  20. But the ambient temperature could still be warmer than when they were set, especially if parked in the sun.
  21. I hope the MG works out well for you. My son had an MG6 - biggest load of junk I have ever come across, not only that but parts were discontinued shortly after production ended and service costs from MG were higher than my Lexus RX. Ended up scrapping it at less than 50k.
  22. The fix will also need to be free of charge, otherwise criminals will still be ripping off bumpers etc in the hope they find a car that has not been upgraded. Presumably they are under NDA from Lexus, but crazy Lexus has not given an update if this is the case.
  23. I've not had a 3rd Gen, but good summary of the 4th Gen F Sport. I believe the option was for Active Stabilisers, in which case you will have a Sunroof instead of the full Panoramic Roof.
  24. I have only a £50 compulsory excess on my Hastings Direct policy taken out in March, but I have opted for £250 voluntary excess. The overall excess is still lower than the compulsory excess on my previous LV policy.
