  1. You are assuming charging efficiency is 100%, whereas it will be in the range 70-90%.
  2. Yeah quite typical I think, there are various websites where you can check prices like this one. https://bookmygarage.com/
  3. Never seen this myself but essentially the infotainment system is a computer and no doubt we have all had our PC's crash from time to time and had to restart them, I would just keep an eye on it for now.
  4. Seems a lot to spend when you are not sure of the outcome and whether it's the correct grade oil. But I don't believe sealed for life either, I think 10-years / 100k is about right for transmission oil. I'd suggest go to a garage that does a simple drain oil, remove pan, fit new filter and refill with correct Toyota product.
  5. You can of course get your MOT done up to a month before it expires and maintain continuation of the expiry date, so I don't see a problem in getting in done at the same time as a service. One of the reasons I bought a Lexus was so that hopefully I only have one trip to the garage a year, don't know about you but I put it in the same category as going to the dentists....
  6. Yes, but the risk is you turn up for a service at 13-months and they say you need a new xyz at £5,000 and you are not covered and won't qualify for Relax again unless the xyz is fixed.
  7. Yes was called Dark Rose and now Flare Red, not sure if it was a different colour or just a name change. Personally I like the Red but I think it's a very marmite colour, I was looking at an RX with Dark Rose, my son and I loved it, my wife and daughter hated it, my wife said it was a pimp mobile....
  8. I think you would be best to find an actual car with that colour combination, does not necessarily have to be an NX, so many factors can impact how colours appear on screen. Personally I would go for Sonic Grey and Red from your shortlist.
  9. Bear in mind hybrids have regenerative braking, so uprating the hydraulic braking system makes less sense than in other vehicles.
  10. Hello Mr .... this is .... from Lexus Woodford, just calling you to let you know that your new Lexus UX F Sport is ready to pick up on Tuesday. Dad - oh that's great news, by the way will I get a full tank of fuel? They can only say no.....
  11. Customer goes into a car parts shop: have you got a windscreen wiper for a Skoda? Man behind the counter thinks for a minute and says, ok that's a fair swap.
  12. Not much of an export market for Ladas at the moment....
  13. Still looks classy today though, not that I ever had one.
  14. If it's had a Lexus Service or Hybrid Health Check in the last 12-months it should still be covered.
  15. Sorry to hear about your experience. But are Lexus cars any more vulnerable, other than the RX being an SUV with greater ground clearance?
  16. The auto-dip function for those of us in the lower spec cars works pretty well.
  17. Maybe we will see fuel rationing if we stop buying Russian oil. Personally I would rather the car sat on the drive than knowingly use Russian oil, but my car usage is mainly pleasure. I appreciate others don't have that luxury and high fuel costs will add to financial hardship.
  18. I have sold to Cazoo very pain free experience, only gave the car a cursory inspection and paid the full amount immediately. Was a 13-year old car so not a huge amount of money, but was expecting them to pick out every single stone chip etc, but they didn't even lift the bonnet.
  19. How was it pinched, was the smart key duplicated? If so just keep your keys in a Faraday cage.
  20. Got to 120 no problem and no ticket, but that was way back....
  21. Years ago I had a Golf Mk 2 GTi, that had an oil temperature gauge (and oil cooler) and gave pretty similar readings to your car. Never took it on a track though, unless maxed out on the M45 counts...
  22. Either leave in D or put in Park as in N the battery is not charging. I don't believe there is any downside in leaving in D when you are stopped for a prolonged period, the engine will cut out anyway once warm.
  23. It was accidental damage so should be covered unless you have 3rd party cover only, but no doubt you will have an excess to pay and potential impact on your future premiums. Maybe try a local independent body shop first and see what they come up with.
