  1. But you don't know how much more you would of had to bid to win the auction.
  2. Dipped headlights should have a range of about 50m, difficult to say from the video if this is being met or not.
  3. I'd suggest getting a second opinion on what really needs doing, may be worth just putting in for an MOT and see what issues are flagged. Also what are your medium to longer term plans for the vehicle, eg keep running for a bit longer at lowest cost or long term ownership maintained to the highest standards?
  4. So it has a fresh MOT and no Tax so I guess it's up for sale again somewhere.
  5. Infotainment is a key part of a modern vehicle so great that is now included, it's not like the days of a push button Motorola.
  6. I think there is still a certain cachet in owning a big V8 regardless of fuel economy, look at the Mustang hardly anyone bought the EcoBoost so it was dropped. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/ford-mustang-goes-v8-only-23-litre-ecoboost-option-axed
  7. I have been to Monaco a few times, Bentley Continentals are the equivalent of a Ford Fiesta, can't recall seeing any Lexus vehicles.
  8. I suspect fuel economy is not top of the requirements list for the majority of LC500 owners.
  9. Mileage, condition and service history are more important when purchasing a car of this age.
  10. I suspect primarily age, most dealers don't want the hassle of selling a 12-year old car even with FSH.
  11. Which Lexus model are you referring to? I have found the LED headlights (not the bladescan version) on the Gen 4 RX to be excellent (way better than Xenon's in previous cars) and the auto dip function also works well.
  12. I'd suggest new bulbs as the first course of action, that worked for me anyway.
  13. The service plan is simply the sum of current list prices, so the saving is predicated on rising costs (as we all know inflation is at a high), plus the convenience of an interest free monthly direct debit. You may also be able to negotiate a discount, typically 10%.
  14. Can't help with how it was done, but I would suggest a high visibility quality steering lock.
  15. Try Cazoo as well. Then go back to Lexus to match the best price.
  16. Nice colour, looks darker than the Mercury Grey.
  17. Does sound about right for the age and mileage and you should also get the Relax warranty if the car is still under 10-years old.
  18. I think highly unlikely it did leave the factory with that fault, most likely occurred during loading / unloading onto ship / transporter etc. I would say let them change the battery but that is their last chance to sort it out.
  19. Probably not as it's a diesel 🙂 But I do agree, check the basics first.
  20. They should be replaced as a pair even if only one is leaking, replacing just one would be potentially dangerous. I don't think any reputable garage would propose otherwise.
  21. I've not experienced torque steer on a Gen 4 RX, did you have the wheel alignment done at the same time as new tyres, that may have been the problem. Last car I had with pronounced torque steer was a Mk2 Golf GTi.
