  1. Only the protection plates, the promised Can Blocker is not yet available or any date announced.
  2. Not something I have experienced, does it happen in both ICE and EV modes? I would hope it's covered by warranty if there is a problem.
  3. Ok, but how does it compare to the market price? If it's just the market price for age and mileage then I would suggest shopping around to find a better example.
  4. If the previous owner neglected having a service for 30k miles they obviously did not care to look after the car properly, I would expect a very significant discount to reflect this.
  5. The service prices are listed on the Lexus website. A service plan will be priced on the current individual service prices, so saving is really just protecting yourself against future price rises.
  6. What utter rubbish, you can't even spell Infosys correctly.
  7. If you know which dealership did the service they may be able to provide additional details. For my car additional work like tracking and air con service was undertaken (as I have the invoices from the previous owner) but nothing is recorded online other than the service being undertaken.
  8. The online info is pretty poor, does not give full details of the work carried out.
  9. Actually Road Tax was abolished in 1937 and replaced with Vehicle Excise Duty, it's just another tax that goes into Government treasury funds.
  10. If you don't want to return the car I think they are unlikely to give you any cash back, maybe negotiate for a free service.
  11. Have you checked the Lexus website, pdf versions of the manuals are available online (unless your car pre-dates this).
  12. Yes they should have acted quicker, but it's the first time I have seen any details of what the proposed solution actually is. Tracker is useless as far as I am concerned, car is stolen, make a claim, it's recovered and fixed and the whole cycle starts again. Once the thieves know where you live chances are there will be multiple theft attempts.
  13. The insurance companies are merely adjusting their premiums to accommodate the increased risk as reflected in the hard fact of number of vehicles being stolen, it's not their fault Lexus have a poorly designed security system (I don't like paying high premiums either).
  14. You could try just measuring it with a multimeter first.
  15. Yes certainly worth getting that checked first.
  16. Possibly an ABS sensor or reluctor ring has failed, codes need to be read for a proper diagnosis.
  17. Recent quote from the Lexus Magazine Q&A on this topic, so maybe there is hope yet for a proper solution... We are continuously developing technical solutions to make our vehicles more secure and reduce the risk of theft. While we do not wish to divulge precise details of the security upgrade, essentially, we intend to roll out a CAN Blocker which is an advanced and secondary ECU. We endeavour to make available another solution that can offer enhanced protection. Details will follow soon. This will be communicated to the Lexus Centre network who will also be responsible for fitting the enhanced security solution.
  18. But where it's scuffed I would think any sealant has long since worn away, so could actually work well as only the damaged area will take the dye.
  19. https://www.leighday.co.uk/news/news/2024-news/toyota-and-lexus-owners-could-be-owed-compensation-as-some-keyless-vehicles-found-to-be-vulnerable-to-a-device-which-allows-them-to-be-stolen-in-minutes/
  20. I'd just wait until the next MOT and maybe look at parts prices in the interim. MOT advisories do seem a bit random in my experience.
  21. I'd just try a high quality shoe polish to start with.
  22. You could try some engine oil flush treatment.
  23. The Service History is available online on the Lexus website if you create an account and register the vehicle. It's very top-level though and does not detail everything, eg for my car just states a Service was undertaken whereas the invoice shows Air Con Service and Tracking was also undertaken. The Renault Service doesn't negate the Relax warranty, but equally won't count towards it so you will need to ensure you have a Lexus Service within the 12-months / 10,000 mile limit.
