  1. If the service history is up to date the battery will be covered by warranty up to 15-years, a hybrid health check is part of the service or can be undertaken separately.
  2. I think a class legal action would be a better option, there seems to be multiple actions re Diesel cars and emissions.
  3. Steven Eagell only operates Lexus / Toyota dealerships, unlike operators such as the Marshall Group that cover multiple marques. I think that's a better model than a dealership that may be BMW one month, Jaguar the next and then Lexus.
  4. I'd suggest LV, if you don't want to use their recommended repairer you can pay a little more on the excess to use your repairer of choice. I have had one claim where someone pulled out of a side road into me, was a very prompt and professional service from LV.
  5. Unfortunately I suspect that a simple software upgrade solution is not possible, as I think Lexus would be pursuing this rather than the metal protection cover as it would be much cheaper for them to develop and roll out en-mass. Glad that your car was not stolen at least.
  6. I have had 10% discount on both a standalone service and 3-year service plan as a LOC member at my local Steven Eagell dealership.
  7. Bear in mind you get a free hybrid health check with the Lexus service and traction battery warranty up to 15-years.
  8. Protecting against future price increases ie inflation Interest free monthly direct debit
  9. Yes the F-Sport has sports steering and suspension as standard. You can also get the Premier / Takumi pack option which includes all the extras.
  10. Yes it should do, but it won't stop the damage caused by an attempted theft.
  11. I think it's the end of the road for this car and shame on the seller for trying to sell a car in such a condition.
  12. Maybe you could just remove the fuses for the lighting circuits to avoid any issues that require a reset.
  13. Lowest temp setting as this will make the A/C work the hardest.
  14. Halfords is fine if you want a sponge or some screenwash, I would not let their techs touch my Lexus. Check the 12V battery first as others have suggested.
  15. Personally I would read that as each repair is £295, but it's by no means clear. Ask them to clarify before you make a final decision.
  16. I suspect manufacturer's will generally have at least two factory tyre choices available to a) negotiate the best price with their suppliers b) protect against any supply problems.
  17. Lexus parts direct tend to use generic pictures rather than the actual item.
  18. Not ideal, but maybe you could try a cushion to raise the seat base to the level of the bolsters.
  19. This is a useful app if you are looking to see if your car will fit in your garage. https://www.automobiledimension.com/parking-dimensions-simulator.php
  20. This can be easily mitigated with a Faraday cage or disabling the feature. Unfortunately the Can bus theft is much harder to prevent.
  21. About an hour seems right, £295 is ridiculous imho.
  22. Honest John website states real world 33.1 mpg. https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/lexus/rx450h-2009
  23. Personally I would avoid (unless it's very cheap) as it does not qualify for the Relax warranty as it is over 100k.
