  1. If your Hybrid health check is up to date the battery should be under warranty.
  2. Have you checked if you are covered by the Lexus Relax warranty, 10-years / 100,000 miles if the service history is up to date?
  3. I think it would be a poor design if there was not a manual over-ride option, maybe this is detailed in the service manual?
  4. I'd assume a wheel refurbisher company could match the colour.
  5. Personally I would take it back to the tyre shop in the first instance.
  6. Apart from the battery a regular run will help clearing rust off the discs and the tyres getting flat spots.
  7. You will probably need to replace both sides if you want the output and colour to match.
  8. That could be just a stored error code, you need the code reader to be certain.
  9. I'd suggest for the scratches some high quality shoe polish, let it soak in for a bit and then a good buff.
  10. Nope works for any registration, eg MC23LLG, additional rate until 31st May 2029. A random car from Auto Trader (not mine unfortunately).
  11. You can check from the vehicle registration on the DVLA website whether it falls into the £40k tax bracket, it will state Additional Rate Applicable until.... https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax
  12. If I end up paying that's disappointing, will let you know, it's booked in for next week.
  13. Sounds like the VW Golf advert and the lady with the earring from many years ago 🙂
  14. But everyone knows you can drive a DS on three wheels 😀
  15. Should do as the Relax scheme also applies to Toyota vehicles.
  16. What specific parameter did it fail on and how far out? Sometimes an oil change will help, particularly if the car is used on frequent short journeys which can cause fuel/oil contamination.
  17. Assuming mileage was 10k or less since the last service, should be an interim service only. The Lexus website details what specific tasks are completed, but an interim service is basically an oil & filter change, inspection and hybrid health check.
  18. I was called unprompted by my local dealer today to have the protection plate fitted (no mention of cost and I didn't ask), so looks like things are moving in the right direction.
  19. So logic would be if it's the Ethanol that degrades then E5 would also be impacted, but maybe effects are less noticeable.
  20. Having an older car is probably your best defence, professional thieves will be much less interested than in a £100k Range Rover.
  21. If Lexus were to roll out the fix to all cars (as they should) then I would expect this type of attack attempt would be very much reduced.
  22. No doubt the standard template response we have all received, and don't respond again if you follow-up, at least that's my experience 😒
  23. I suspect the only dealer option would be replacement wheels or they call in a mobile refurbishment service, so you would be better of shopping round for a specialist repairer.
