So you could say that if one species of mammal that is currently dominant becomes extinct in the next 100 years or so, it's kind of irrelevant in the grand scheme of the Earth's history.
Should be fine, the engine will stop and start to charge the hybrid battery as required.
I'd suggest turning off the aircon as that will be the main drain on the hybrid battery when stationary.
Certainly worth it if you needed the hybrid battery replaced.
Does seem strange though as I would have thought the same technology is used in Toyota Prius etc.
It's a good point, plus will need to accommodate 2-3 times the volumes of cars, which at peak times can be pretty congested already.
I would only ever fill up with £10 max at a motorway service station anyway given their extortionate fuel prices.
Personally I use Supermarket E5 most of the time, I think most fuels will have some forms of additive.
Unless you test run an engine with a known fuel for many thousands of miles and then strip it down for inspection it's very difficult to predict what impact different fuels may have.
The hare and the tortoise 🙂
I do wonder if we will see increased accidents with the roll out of electric cars, as many drivers may not be sufficiently experienced with this level of acceleration or accidents from people just pressing the throttle too hard or inadvertently.
If you need to pay the rent / food then fine, otherwise how will you utilise any savings made?
The additional VED is not a huge sum of money in the grand scheme of things and will expire at some point (mine just has).
